this was going to be her third litter. she only bred one day with her stud which i don't own but i have used before and had a wonderful litter.the vet said that it could happen to any kind of dog any size it just so happened to mine.she said while the female is pregnant her immune system isn't as strong as normal that sometimes they can fight off the infection sometimes not.
