Looks like she might have gone to the vets. Prayer's coming Breny for a
safe delivery for both mom and pup.

Breny and I had been pm'ing I suggested to get her to the vet now (its been long enough with only one pup there) also suggested perhaps he could use oxy to help her with contractions if not then opt for the c-section. But she now needed to be SEEN by the vet.

I hope all goes well for her and the little one!

Thanks for the update. I have been following closely and trying not to post so she can talk to the most experienced breeders. On pins and needles though. Hope and prayers sent her way.

You are too much, Kimberly! I'm glad to hear that she's gone, and I hope if it's a regular delivery that she assists. :thumbup:

Oxy not good before 1st pup....can cause premature placental seperation. I've seen happen too often.

thats why I said "perhaps" the vet is best at judging this, he needed to see the mom. Ive only used Oxy once during labor and it still yielded a c-section although I know breeders have used it to help it along without problems.

I use it if mom doesn't get down to business after 1st pup, but definately 12 - 24 hours after whelping has completed.

But, I agree the vet did need to see her. The 1 pup had me worried

okay, I have read throught these posts twice. Hearing about these new babies is so exciting for me. I wish I could actually see one happen. I have never scene any dog give birth. I hope everything is okay!! I am anxiously waiting.

Dear god no news yet...I am so nervous for them all. I can't wait to see that baby. Hope all goes well.

Glad to have a home at yorkie talk where there is so much love and friendship to share the good and bad times.

One of my girls had only one pup... I had to inject oxytocin (after speaking to my vet)... the pup was born 10 minutes later. Sometimes with only one pup there is not enough "umf" in the contractions to make the pup come out... otherwise... yes... it means a c-section.

A few years ago one of my girls had only one pup... and no problem... seemed like a long hard labor for two hours... but pup came out on its own.

I hope we hear some news soon!!!
