| Wow, I didn't know that Well this thread is about things you have learned that made you say "Wow, I didn't know that". Since we are all here to learn (no matter how many years we've owned or been breeding) I think we can all learn something new. Add to the thread by posting something like: * Liver is extremely high in Vitamin A so it shoud be used very cautiously in pregnant dogs since high Vitamin A may be linked to cleft palates. * Hydrogen peroxide (even diluted with 2 parts water) is old advice for cleaning abrasions and wounds. It destroys healthy tissue so it will only delay healing. * A neutered dog can become tied with a female in heat (no pregnancy will occur though). |

See, and people thought molecular biology as a course of study was a waste of time. | |

| That makes sense I guess that is why you make sure it fizzes before using it to induce vomiting. |

hydrogen peroxide is really cheap at the dollar store so I always keep an unopened around bottle just in case...so is the rubbing alchohol and baby wipes. I haven't seen an 'I didn't know that' in a long time regarding things york....so keep 'em coming....I like to learn at least one new thing a day.

| A serving of wine is just 5oz (very tiny) and it is equal to 2 FAT exchanges. Most would assume wine belongs to carb but no.........even worst.........lol!!

| Here's a trick I learned from my Peruvian ex...but it's not furbaby related, hope that's okay. If I drop oil on my shirt, pants, couch (yes did it a few weeks ago), I put TONS of baby powder on the oil stain right away and let the powder soak up the oil. Then after an hour or so, or until you see the powder all caked up, I scrape off the powder and put the clothes in the laudry. And...Viola! No more oil stain. Works everytime...even on my brand new couch!

I LOVE sangria! They serve it at hooters now, and I HATE hooters wings, so whenever my bf wants to go there (he swears the wings are the best ever) I'll only go with him if he gets me sangria
