Have you tried the shelters and rescues in your area? The adoption fee would be much less and I'm sure there are a few that would love to be carried around and kissed and hugged all day.

Hi i live in va too, and i think you can fine just as precious yorkies here, there actually a lady here by the screen name promispoo that is in va and needs homes for puppies sometime in nov. give her a call at 804-965-5151 ( i think thats right) if not look her up on here. and i think hers are 1000.00. im sorry i wouldnt not pay 1500, plus travel exp to get a yorkie when there are some right here that are more affordable and just as cute. whats the difference b/w va and ca yorkie? just a lot of gas $$ or Ticket money save the extra 800.00 bucks and get the pup a playmate or all the supplies plus vet stuff that alone is 300-400.00 good luck

| Here's a different situation .... I said no, no, no for weeks/months!!! ME ... who fairly worships at the itty bitty paws of Toto?!? I am at her beck & call 24/7! Nope! Didn't want a dog of any breed .... nothing with any sort of "need". Wasn't gonna have it, end of discussion! Patrick is relentless ... if I ever kill him, his being so relentless will be my excuse! He finally sucked me into at least looking at pictures of them online and that's all he needed ..... the search was on! Really long story short .... several months later I found myself looking into a tiny little face that still brings tears to my eyes, she was soooo beautiful and had the most curious, intelligent look in those little black button eyes I really thought I was having a vision. Nothing could be that sweet and certainly nothing could make me feel like I would absolutely die if I couldn't have it! Next thing I knew .... we're driving along in my convertible and I'm laughing and telling Patrick .... "look, she pee peed on my lap and the seat is just soaked, isn't that the cutest thing?" Yep! She trapped us both and she is our absolute joy! So .... my advice would be .... be relentless and hold out for what you want!! It worked on me!! And, most importantly, we were in total agreement when we bought Toto.

When I got Indy I was going thru one of those lonely stages, my only child was at college and enaged, and also obligated to the Army for 4 years. I really had this urge to get something little that I could hold and snuggle with. Hubby said "NO MORE DOGS!" , not that i could blame him, we had 3 already! But none of the ones I had were truly "mine". The German Shep is DEFINITELY hubby's dog, the Golden Ret is 14 and lovable, but not a lap dog, and the Jack Russel doesn't belong to anyone but herself! She is not a cuddle dog! So, I just saved my money and bought Indy anyway. Figured it wasn't any skin off his nose since I am the one who takes care of ALL of them. Hubby was mad for a couple days, but even he couldn't resist that little furry face. So, now 1 year and a half down the road, with 2 liver shunt surgeries costing well over $3500, I am still happily married with hubby just as concerned about Indy as I am, although Indy is definitely "mama's boy".

then it seems that it's not about the $$$ if he gave you 1800. you need to work him in to the breed.( like what my girlfriend did to me) I love dogs and then we went around looking and she kept looking at yorkies and it just grew on me. take him around to dog parks to look and pet stores(just to look not buy!!!)they will let you handle the pups and im sure it will grow on him too. you can also spend some time together on YT and show him the pics from "MY YORKIE" section. best of luck! >>> Here are some pcs to help ..LOL!

I'm sure you'll get him to budge eventually after he gets to actually play with a little yorkie pup.

Same thing with my husband. For about 5 years, my kids asked us to get a puppy and my husband always found some excuse to crush their hopes. Well, I finally decided I was ready to get a puppy and take on that commitment. My youngest child was turning 10 in September so I went searching for a breeder in my area on breeders.net and found a puppy that would be ready to come home on her birthday, which was September 29th. I slowly dropped subtle hints that I wanted to get my daughter a puppy for her 10th birthday and with a few weeks of persuasion, I got my way. Hubby wasn't very thrilled at first, but I stood firm in my decision to get one. "Bella's" been with us for two weeks now and what a little cutie!! The look on my daughter's face when she saw her was priceless!!! Hubby's even warming up to her a little bit. Hang in there, stick to your guns and use your power of persuasion!!!
