				 | Is my dog fully Yorkie? I sure as heck payed for one. My Tugger is a Yorkie, but he is 10.6 lbs Tall and skinny with muscular legs, 12.5 inches to the shoulder, and the AKC says that Yorkies must not exceed 7 lbs. He also has very big floppy ears, but every Yorkie I see has petite, pointy ears, and has a very tiny body. Tugger also has a very muscular build, which other Yorkies don't have. Could my dog have been bred with another dog but sold as a Yorkie? When my scanner is working ill get a picture of him.

				 | Other than his weight & stalky appearance, does he look like a Yorkie? Color, coat, etc? Alot of Yorkies have floppy ears, and alot of Yorkies are bigger than the standard. AKC just states the STANDARD is not over 7 pounds. That doesn't mean Yorkies can't get bigger than that. Can't wait to see a picture! |

				 | There are many people here with yorkies just as you described, and even bigger! Many times this can be the result of poor breeding, so if you pd. big bucks for him, this can be annoying. However, that doesn't mean he's not still absolutely adorable, and the world's best pet! I think some of the cutest dogs on this site are the "non-standards", or the mixes. Tugger is a great name, too! Welcome to the site!

				 | Sophie is 12lbs with floppy ears. Her Dad was 3lbs and her Mom was 5lbs. Her brothers and sisters where small. I guess it just happens that way sometimes. I wouldn't change a thing about her. I would love to see a pic of your baby.

				 | Ten pounds means hes not a show dog it does not he is not a yorkie however; it goes back to reputable breeders or generation throw back. |

				 | He could be fall yorkie, or you could have been scammed. That is why it is more important to look for the perfect breeder than for the perfect dog. But if you love him and he loves you, it really doesn't matter. However you might get banned from YT if the truth comes out that he's a half breed. Just kidding. He looks adorable. |
