There are many people here with yorkies just as you described, and even bigger!
Many times this can be the result of poor breeding, so if you pd. big bucks for him, this can be annoying. However, that doesn't mean he's not still absolutely adorable, and the world's best pet! I think some of the cutest dogs on this site are the "non-standards", or the mixes.
