| If you haven't already, try giving her canned PUPPY food. It has more nutrients, and helps with lactating bitches. Also, make sure she eats later in the day and at night. My dad had a beagle that did the same thing, and feeding her more frequent small meals and feeding her later in the night helped. Try to see if she will eat the canned food every 3-5 hrs, and leave dry food out at all times for her. I would also check with the vet just to make sure she is doing ok and the pups are getting enough to eat! Hope I helped!

| For the first few days, Trixie seemed to not be producing enough milk. We were already supplementing her calcium intake and just held warm compresses to her and it worked. But again, this was only the 1-2 days afterwards. |

| Has mom been eating puppy food all the time since before she was bred? Maybe she needs additional dry mixed with canned puppy. Also, I would start supplementing the babies late at night to make sure they are getting enough nourishment. If all else fails, start trying to wean the babies with small amts of gruel-ground up dry or canned food with puppy formula. I don't think the cold water massage would help the situation, but I could be wrong. Did your vet tell you to do that? I have not heard about that and always want to learn new things..Good Luck |

| I've always used Happy Jack milk aid you start giving about a week BEFORE pups are born and for a week after, never had any milk problems it might help |
