well you can swear by this joan lady and i will read the books i want to read , I will go with my opinion untill i am prooved wrong . And i have read over and over again that there is absolutley no proof of what breeds it took to get a yorkshire terrier and also the maltese terrier was around long before the yorkishire terrier breed and enough said I dont want to argue with you it goes like this you stand by your auther , and I will go by mine thank and no i do not want to have controversy over you and me not believing one another.
I am here to get opions not get told that i am stupid for stating somthing i read.

Your postings speak for themselves. If you are going to quote someone or something, then make sure that those who wrote it know what they are talking about, or you may end up looking stupid.

And I am no longer going to reply to any of these post lest I should end up looking stupid for geing sucked in to such a stupid argument.

Thank you for that. This is excatly why the Biewer is NOT a Yorkie

correct but they bred two different yorkie's to get a biewer ( right or wrong)

dont get me wrong i know a biewer is a biewer not a yorkie but it came to be by two different yorkies

ive read books that said it was used and thats where the yorkie gets it long silky coat from but i dont think anyone knows for sure what breeds where used.

Addressing the original question of this thread, no i would not breed a yorkie and a maltese. Not because I disgree with mixing breeds, but because of all the overpopulation of unwanted dogs in this country. It is a proven fact that mixed breed dogs are born with fewer health issues and are often times easier to train. i have seen the "morkies" or "yorkteses" as they are called and they are absolutely adorable but I wouldn't do the mixing.

Good point!! Also, let's not forget the Yorkie was created for a reason back in the 1800's; to hunt rodents. Mixing breeds today is done to make money IMO..they are known as 'Designer...'

Not to start that whole debate up again, But ya they have yorkshire terrier in them. Like 100%. They just carried a recessive gene that surfaced. I personally don't care if one calls them yorkies or calls the Beiwers. They carry 100% yorkshire blood.

yes but they are considered ther own breed now and there is not much anyone can do to change that and i do understand what you are saying

Case in point. They will never lose their heritage and how these little ones came about. So call them the kitchen sink for all I care..

Back to the orginal post...As far as mixing breeds..
