Addressing the original question of this thread, no i would not breed a yorkie and a maltese. Not because I disgree with mixing breeds, but because of all the overpopulation of unwanted dogs in this country. It is a proven fact that mixed breed dogs are born with fewer health issues and are often times easier to train. i have seen the "morkies" or "yorkteses" as they are called and they are absolutely adorable but I wouldn't do the mixing.
