I have seen yorkies in a show ring at times that were at best nothing but pet quality to my eyes, but you have to remember I am nothing but a "wannabe".. You also have to remember that some people place their dogs with handler because of it's quality and they would have a very hard time getting points on the dog themselves! Sometimes in a show ring it is not the dog that wins but the handler! So NO one is any better than anyone else! We all have a right to do what makes us happy, rather breeding or breeding and showing.. Unless you are a puppymill or a broker, then shame on you! JMHO.. I apologize if I said something hurtful! You have never shown anything but love towards your dogs.. You have just as much right to breed as anyone else does!

I think that regardless to if you win, lose, have ever won, lost, bred your dog, bought your dog, picked your dog from a tree...you have my respect and should be commended for dedicating yourself to something positive.

| Tia..you are very kind in your words..my dogs are "perfect" for me, but by no means perfect..me either!! LOL Irene..I was just asking another discriminating breeder their thoughts on what is a champion pedigree? I thought you and I had an understanding..we respect each other without picking at each other. LOL |

| I am sitting here listening to my stomach growl cause I am too busy reading the bezillion posts on this forum on this topic to make a meal. I am gonna go off topic here but it bees that way--I grew up half-starved most of the time. I see children's pics every day in the news who are starving and whose parents would give their lives for just a bag of dog food to eat. I, for one, am feeling guilty spending so much time and passion and money on this topic of showing or not showing dogs! when I feel I could be using this energy "making a difference" in the human species. Will I do it? Probably not... I apologize if I have offended anyone who feels this topic has not run its course. Maybe it hasn't....I don't know.. |

| Yeah, there's a problem w/ the human species population, but some of us feel out lives aren't devoted to that area. We should be, but we choose not to be. I have chosen to not ADD to the people population by not reproducing myself. lol Death is part of the cycle of life and is necc., children die everyday and so do our pets. I'm not bothered either way. I was thankful to not be born into that kind of situation and for those that were, hopefully a helpful hand will come their way. I'm not in the position or mentality to take up someone else's mistake. Not all of those starving children were mistakes, but many were brought into this world by poor choices and I'm ALL for teaching people to make informed, educated decisions than I am to deal w/ the bs brought out by those poor choices. Nature will find a way. If THIS offends anyway, fine. Sorry to ruin the next five minutes of your life. In the mean time, I am focusing on only adding to the population problem of Yorkies by making informed, educated decisions and right now that would be for me not to breed. I don't have any Yorkies that would be worth contributing to the breed, although I love them dearly and one in particular is one hell of a working yorkie!!! |

| No one can ruin anyone else's life unless they are allowed to. So, yorkieK9 trainer, you have not ruined any portion of my life...Just every now and then, I need to do a reality check in my mind and heart... |

I grew up pretty poor too..We ate alot of ham and beans.. We did eat rabbit, squirrel and deer. There would be good times and bad. There is nothing wrong with doing anything that make you happy..life is to short not to. Yes, it is a sad fact that people are starving all over the world. But to stop living your life or enjoying it to the fullest.. would be a shame.
