You may breed quality dogs and never step in the ring and be well respected and be a top breeder..not so here in the USA.

About 15 yrs ago I was challenged at ring side to produce a prospect, show it and finish it IF I could...so I did, I knew I had been producing good quality dogs, but others wanted me to prove it, so I did. THEN I decided to do it again, you get bit.

I think a breeder must use the standard as a guide..buy champion-stud service when needed, or buy a champion stud. Keep good dogs from these breedings, buy quality bitches, go to shows, you do not HAVE to enter, but that is where learn to breed quality dogs IMO.
I am having second thoughts about showing Kate..my heart is not in it today. I have paid my dues and do not care if anyone thinks I am less of a breeder if I do not show again..
You are always so sweet and kind. I have great respect for anyone who shows respect for others. That's the 'real' showing! I think Kate is beautiful and maybe your gorgeous line will live on through those you have chosen to take them (if you are wanting that). When is Kate's show? I hope you will feel better by then. I know you would be proud to make her a little champion! But mainly, you will love her either way. You are a beautiful person and have helped me many times, I hope you are loving Florida!
