| Thank you so much Minniemn! I totally agree with you. The people that are being negative about me breeding Teddy is probably jealous and trying to find ways to discourage me from doing it. To all those out there who post that my dog is not good enough for show quality breed...I DON"T CARE WHAT YOU THINK. Our reputable breeder says he is good enough for her "show yorkie" and I will take her opinion...not someone here who may be in if for themselves or who says they have experience breeding when they only have bred ONCE! I've received MANY SUPPORTIVE PM and LOVE reading them. One actually made me chuckle about someone's breeding experience I won't say who though. Anyhow, because of all the wonderful and kind words, I will continue to be on YT and update those who PM me on Teddy and the breeding Status. Feminvstr-- I FULLY AM Aware the difference b/w a Pure Bred Yorkie and a Show quality. Remember a show breeder approached me, saw Tedddy, and saw his paperwork. I dont need to Justify to you that he's show quality. Trust me, my husband and I paid well over $2800 for Teddy. All I know is that this is a good opportunity to work with a very experience and caring show breeder. Thank you to all who PM ME!!! I have tons of support and place to ask questions now You ALL Are the BEST. I'll post pics of Teddy soon. The one on my avatar isn't really good because when we re-size it for the avatar, everything got squished and you can't really see Teddy. |

Anyway, sorry I tried to help you out--next time, please take into consideration what YOU are saying before you complain about how you're criticized, cause you've got the wrong person here. Funny thing is, and not that I'm going to worry myself over it, but I don't see where I ever mentioned here where I'd only bred my own dog twice, makes me wonder who and where you're getting that info from... | |

| The Question she asked was when to breed. Geeze everyone give her a break. why the 100 questions? Its up to her if she wants to breed her male or not.And as for her asking some one she knows that breeds, why not ask more then one person and see what they also have to say about it. Thats what I do. No one does every thing the same and all breeders was new to it at one time and prob asked the same question or looked it up. |

| I don't know about anyone else, but if something confuses me I ask question before I give an answer..why..I don't want to be liable. However, it is always best to just mind my business and walk away.

| I have only bred my yorkie once, and won't be doing it again... I have no problems saying that, and I don't give out breeding advice, unless I am certian of what I am talking about. I don't care if I am critized for only breeding once, it wasn't my intention. My intention was to become a hobby breeder- but since my mom went into a continual heat after welping, which made her uncomfortable, I got her fixed. I could of continued on breeding her or her pup in the future, but honestly breeding isn't for me- I don't have the heart to raise them then sell them, I had no problems with this when I raised birds, but the yorkies were different for me. I got way too attached, and I admit with them and my birds, all I did was worry. Of course then after making the decision I found out that my female pup that I kept, and got spayed, had a problem with her tear ducts (not fully forming) which is sad, but it really sent the message home to me that I made the right decisions. I had done a lot of research, talked to my mentor and read everything I could on the internet... so I do have some knowledge even if I only bred once, which I believe others here do the same, so I wouldn't discount their support or knowledge. Don't know why I felt the need to explain that I only bred once, I suppose it makes my first post on this thread mean nothing now- but like everyone here I was just sharing my experience. I do wish however, that this place was more supportive to those asking questions, because in the end, most will do what they want- isn't it best for them the yorkie and the pups to have the most knowledge possible? Good luck, I do hope it all works out with you, and I hope your vet is able to answer your questions regarding the teeth |

| it makes no sense why jealousy would play in this matter the original poster has never bred before nor is her pup old enough to sire a litter at this time. Bottom line is this... If you paid $2800 to a pet breeder for a pet with a pet pedigree then likely it is a pet. (say that five times fast) If this show breeder is serious about the use and potential of your puppy then she would certainly be the best to advise you on the teeth removal, his breeding potential and of course his show worthiness. No one wishes you any harm or bad luck nor would they be jealous, it truly comes down to many people believe they have a show quality pup when indeed its just a very nice pet. No one here has an opinion on your dog nor are they capable to make such an evaluation without feeling him and watching his walk except for the "show breeder" that has had a change to touch, feel and smell him so to speak.

| You know what? I thought we had ended this discussion. But I guess people just like "DRAMA" Why can't people just let it go?? First off, BamaFan121S, I never attacked you, so I don't know where you are coming from. I even appprecitate you directing the questions earlier. When I talked about people who bred only once, I received a PM from someone saying that Feminvstr have only bred once and so I shouldn't really concern myself or have to justify to her. So if you felt attack BamaFan121S then I guess it's insecurity. You know how I feel now when I originally post this thread--ATTACKED. The topic of breeding is always so controversial on YT and I just don't understand why. It seems like other Breeders dont' want other people to Start Breeding. I think its all competition. There's more than one way to do things, and if someone doesnt' agree with it, then don't post or write anything negative. The more post on here I read the more upset I get. People have dissected my WORDS and think it applies to them and get hurt. I don't know if this is even worth it. Go out and get a walk instead of posting all the time. The post I wrote before, I said that I was going to ask the breeder I'm working with the questions. I thought it was settled. I wasn't going to post a public thread on breeding questions. I sure hope the Moderator is monitoring this and makes it where people feel welcome in posting and not aleniated or feel attacked. So, is there any other replies to this post? Or is this discussion ended? I don't know how many MORE QUESTIONS or people can dissect my words...Keep them coming. I'm ready. Thanks to the many that PM me and have been supportive. You guys are awesome and the stories you tell makes me feel better by the minute about this post I don't know about you all, but I'm taking a flight tomorrow morning for a week to Australia to relax with my husband and not even worrying about this if I ever come on to post again. Everyone needs to just CHILL OUT--I'll PM the others later |

| Feminvstr, if you can't say anything nice, please don't post back on this thread. I'm sick of you thinking you know a lot about show and just pet dog. I NEVER SAID I thought Teddy was a show dog. I thought he was cute which is why we bought him. The show breeder was the one that APPROACHED US. How many time can I say that???? I'm happy having my Teddy as a pet. I dont' want to do shows. WHEN DID I SAY THAT IN THE POST> YOU probably think that I wanted to put my dog for show but I never said that. I just said that the show Breeder wanted to breed my dog with hers and all I ask was when does a male yorkie have sperm. I never asked for details on how to breed. I will leave it up to the show breeder to do that. I just wanted to breed Teddy to have 1 pup. I HOPE MODERATOR do something about BREEDING POST becuase it's making a lot of new comers leaving. I've received a lot of PM today that feel the same way. |

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | WOW! The only person that I've seen get mad and defensive is the OP. As far as the pm that you received, please to go http://yorkiepassion.com/yorkienursery.htm Kimberly has bred for 5 years. She's had more than 1 litter so you've been told incorrectly. Kimberly has been here a long time and knows about yorkies, how to breed them, how to whelp them and how to show them. I'm speaking for myself but I think that she was just trying to understand where you were coming from with this other show breeder. I'm sure that the show breeder will be more than happy to mentor you and I'm sure that they must have been very impressed with your little guy.Best of luck.

| Ok I read this whole thread and I must say this is ridiculous! I really thought that the whole thread was going ok, then the next thing I know is everybody started pointing fingers.. Why can't we just answer questions. Why can't people who ask questions just read the advice and take what they want from it. I don't think anyone said or did anything wrong, but everyone started to assume and then boom!! This upsets me. I agree with Brenda 100%, whether other breeders feel its true or not. We all had to start somewhere, All that is important is the well fare of our dogs and the puppies they give birth too!! Being an experienced breeder is not what is important, being knowledgeable is!! Asking questions, Reading and getting a mentor is the most important thing a unexperienced breeder can do!
