| Here is the link to the original ad: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24561 Subsequently, there are a few postings in other people's ads that list the pup at $900 with deposit. In those other postings, it was NEVER stipulated that the deposit was non-refundable. I also suggest you contact the Better Business Bureau, the local and state taxing authorities and the IRS to provide them with a copy of the cancelled check showing this person is conducting a sale.

| I was looking at your dogster page....this must be hard with all the unfortunate events you have been through with your pups recently. How old are your babies? |

| We are emailing Joy to try to work this out. So replying to this thread will hopefully stop. We are saddened that this has boiled down to fussing. We aren't bad people and we aren't trying to con anyone. Good night.

| I think we all need to back off and let Joy deal this on her own with Peacekeeper. As outsiders, it's hard to tell who's right, who's wrong! We don't have the COMPLETE story! Let them solve it on their own! That is what Joy SHOULD have done in the first place. IF she really felt THAT uncomfortable, she wouldn't have needed all the "advice" she wanted from us. She would've done what she wanted to do: look for another puppy. Anyways, I say we let them solve it. |

My goodness...talk about CRAP I hope you know that you do not have to take this CRAP from any breeder. Especially one who would speak to you in such a way. There are lots of nice breeders out there that WILL give you an excellent guarantee as well as, that WILL worm your puppy as needed, that DO use vets who are compassionate and educated, that WILL keep your baby until 12 wks for the puppie's proper development, that WILL be there for you throughout your babies entire life, and that WILL not speak to you or about you in such a way on a public forum. Call your deposit a lesson in life and move on. Best of luck on your pm's. Last edited by yorkiemom1970; 01-27-2006 at 11:31 PM. | |

| I think this goes to show that you can't always mis friendship and Business Period. Please, anyone searching or looking for a pup, research Research, RESEARCH!!! Everyone knows you can't let a puppy go at 6wks!!! They won't get love from the mom, and pack training from litter mates!!! ARGH!!!

| I paid about the same for my yorkies and I got them at 6 and 8 weeks They came with just their first set of shots and wormed ......no health contract no spay/neuter agreement if they did I would not of even took them. I think that is the new owners choice if they are paying for that dog then they have a right to breed it if they want to, unless its going to be to small . |

| I woke up to this !! The only point I am going to touch on is letting a yorkie go before 12 wks?? It should not be done and that is all there is to it. This breeder is exactly what we have been talking about on other threads. BUYER BEWARE and do your homework. Also Peacekeeper this forum is here so people can come to us for advise. I hope you two can work it out.

| Quote"Okay look- whether I need to look up to diff. breeders is a totally diff. story. I will look into that. Point is I did let them go at 6 weeks...The other owners were fine with it and the pups are doing great. I am still in contact with them both. I am not a bad person nor a bad breeder. Yes I don't do this for a living. My babies have always been in my house never outside in a shed like most/some breeders. Joy didn't have a problem with this when she agreed to get the pup. She knew it then why did she even send money if it was such a big deal to her like she is saying. The reason she didn't get the pup at 6 weeks is only because she didn't have all the money then. AND BY THE WAY! I got my baby at 6 weeks. She is perfect in every way. I don't know any one who lets there pups go at 12 weeks unless no one has paid for them. The only ones I have ever heard of is on here. Not that 12 weeks is bad - it is a good idea.. but I did not do 12 weeks I did 6 - lets get over that point. I am not in for the money." unquote I would like to address a couple things in your statement. First I would seriously rethink where you get your breeding guidance from if the breeders are letting them go at 6 weeks and the dogs live in a shed. That is not like "most breeders" I have ever dealt with or would ever deal with. These are the breeders that should be turned into the ASPCA. And if you are not in it for the money then why would you be complaining about a dewormer and second set of shots? I think 900 should cover a 9.00 bottle of wormer divided between a litter. I have seen a million threads on this forum addressing ethical/unethical breeding practices. I have also seen a LOT of posts on 6 week old puppies suffering from illness and hypoglycemia and the distraught owners posting asking for help. Did you not when you were researching your breeding read any of these threads? It never ceases to amaze me that people will read something over and over and still do what they want for whatever reason they concoct in their own mind. |
