| This bothered me... I ran across this kennel on accident, then browsed around a bit. There is a pic on this page of a clipped yorkie male. On the left hand side. Under his picture it states "he has been clipped to keep from getting hair knots which is a usda and state requirement". I just can't get over that. I really despise usda liscensed kennels. I'm sorry if I offend anyone with that statement, but I just get so angry at some of the things I see. One of the MANY joys of owning my yorkies is their beautiful coats. Sometimes I do a bit of scissoring for sanitation reasons, but I'll grow it back out better than ever. I had my boy done in a lion clip; keeping his beautiful facial hair and hair on head. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I could never abide by such regulations as the usda enforces. I know that they also force breeders to keep their breeding stock in a seperate facility, other than their home. This saddens me. But at the same time I look over at my gang all piled up on one of their many beds and I say a prayer and thank God that I am blessed and my babies are blessed. When I read that under that poor yorkies picture on the website I guess it just really bothered me and I needed to vent. Here's the site: http://www.snarlsandwags.com/yorkie.html |

| That makes me sad, and angry, too. Dogs were not meant to be mass-produced in a kennel. My two Yorkies are the loves of my life, I spend hours, bathing, grooming, trimming them, and the reward for my dedication is their love and beauty. We have to earn it, and when we do, we have to cherish it. Sheila |

| That's why the kennel name is "SNARLS" and wags! Not happy dogs Obviously the "wags" part is when they find there forever homes! Plus she has a "teacup" girl! ARRRGGGHHHH!!! Quote:

| All the dogs looked terrible. Very sad. Did the male maltese have his tongue hanging out? And he's 12 lbs! mixed to a mutt. |

I think it's because they are a mass breeder & don't WANT to WORK to keep their dogs looking their best - shave off the hair - and you don't have to touch the dog. Which in turn means....no bonding - just breeding probably. that IS sad....they have too many breeds for them to be very caring. No one can keep up with that many dogs. I couldn't imagine not touching my girls...I can hardly go an hour without a kiss....and I LOVE doing their hair...they love it too. | |

| Ugggghhhh! That makes me sooooo upset and sad all at the same time. Shame on those people. USDA??? What is that all about? Those poor babies. I go nuts too if I can't kiss my boys like all the time!!!! And to hold them!! When I am at work I can't wait to get home and kiss on them and snuggy with them. OMG

| I can only speak for Illinois. I believe it is the same for Indiana but plz correct me if Im wrong. Did you know if you own 6 breeding females to be legal you are suppose to have a kennel license thru the Illinois state Dept of Agriculture, which adheres to the USDA regulations? I always thought people with this license had tons of different breeds or tons of one breed. Not true. A few of them Im sure now are just being legal. Ive been looking into a license and found this out recently. In regards to the website, I see no mention of having to cut a dogs hair off to meet regulations in the book???? Did you see the size of chain on this clipped yorkie ? Is it around his neck? FOr heavens sake. It was very disappointing to me to know that being licensed makes you house your dogs in a separate building, especially with the change being at so few of a number. |

| I really love the pitbull chain he is being held with on the table as if they need that much restraint for a small yorkie. |
