| I Would Like to Get this Thread to Take Action I have been working the the District Attorney, the AKC and the local sheriff to take action against Brushy Creek. Many people are commenting on this thread about the Brushy Creek experience, but I have no real way to contact any of you to take action. I would like to provide the DA and the AKC with a list of people that are willing to write a formal complaint (or at least document their experience). If you are interested (I would prefer to take the discussions of the action (and only the action I plan on taking) off this forum and into the realworld. I don't all of this documented online. I think it's a good idea to continue to provide others warnings like this online. Please forward the following to my personal email account at moxymo@hotmail.com: Your Name Your Email where I can reach you A Phone number if you'd like I would like to get a group of about 8-10 people to work on their own documentation of their experience and I will work to submit this to the proper authorities. If you have any questions, please send them to my email as opposed to posting to this thread. I hope you understand my reason for wanting to take this conversation into the private space, and also wanting to turn chat into action. I hope you are willing to help me and the dogs that are being abused at Brushy Creek. To end, my dog purchased through brushy creek just turned 2, and 2 weeks after her birthday, was diagnosed with heart failure. She has about 6 months to live. You can understand now why I am done talking about it, and want to take action now. Thanks, Molly |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Molly - I'm so very very sorry for you - that has to be just breaking your heart. It really doesn't surprise me but I hate to hear about it happening and you and your baby BOTH don't deserve this - how sad for you...this makes me cry just thinking about it. I give full permission to use anything I've posted - and hope it helps you - I didn't buy a puppy from them - but I was sure upset with what I saw... Since I walked away from that horrible place it's haunted me and though I tried to make people aware and even reported it to the Hockley police - I don't know if I really did any good - who knows how serious they took me - I'm very very sorry about your baby - I did email you and anything you need from me just ask - I'm with you on this - OK ????

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I was still digesting your tragedy about your baby - 2 years is just horrible to be facing heart failure...I really feel terrible for you...Did you get a yorkie or another breed from her ? I know some people emailed me and they had purchased sick puppies (not yorkies) it's just so wrong - she HAS to know what she's doing - there's too many people now that I've heard of having these problems - and there are LOTS of problems - What a shame she's still in business ....It makes me so angry ! No one is looking out for these little guys and they're at the mercy of these horrible people ! I hope you can get them shut down - I'll be more than happy to help if I can. Again - I'm so sorry. |

| Llovers Yorkies??? OMG... this is the person who i bought one of my yorkies from!! I just joined this site today gazing thru, checking it out, and then i see her website...which by the way is not coming up?? perhaps i have a bad connection or ???? anyway...wow??.... its gotta be the same lady i got one of my babies from... its very disturbing to read all this since i've been thinking for several yrs that she was a good person w/ good pups...i even told a cpl of coworkers about her who then told some of their friends and so quite a few have bought yorkies from her also besides me. i know my paranoid self is gonna start wondering if every little ailment or sneeze is a sign of some disease or something!! i know this sounds overly paranoid but i had a horrible, terrible experience a few yrs ago w/ an unreputable breeder in my hometown near corpus christi!! soooo.... sorry if i sound extremely anxious!! may i ask if anyone on here has bought any yorkie from llovers/betty?? i am just curious as to how old the dogs are now and what their health has been like??!! I will share any info'n that anyone asks me also. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I DID go to Brushy Creek...did not buy - but I DID buy from Lloversyorkies and it's really amazing how you just mentioned these 2....you can pm me... Chanel came from Betty...She is EXTREMLY healthy but I had a bad experience dealing with her once we brought her home.... as she became very sick with coccidia - A friend of mine (not on this site) also got her 5 year old from Betty - Her baby had 2 knee surgeries before the age of 1, has severe allergies and is now being treated. She also weighs 14 lbs....Betty told her AND me many lies about her yorkies.... I feel blessed and very lucky Chanel is as healthy as she is and my heart goes out to my friend with her baby ps...you should share your experience with the breeder near Corpus with people. |

When I was looking for Cheri - we took the trip to Brushy Creek and got ill seeing the puppy they showed us - that poor baby had the worst extended tummy I ever saw and it wasn't even the puppy they emailed me about ...I wrote them a long letter and said they didn't hear the end of me - and after further checking and posting I found many many people who were sold very sick puppies from them. They were rude and mean after I contacted them and to tell you the truth - I reported them over the condition of the puppy...it had the worst crooked teeth and couldn't even close it's little mouth properly.... and had to have some kind of parasite for it to be that swollen - the very second I touched that poor baby I felt sick to my stomach they would let him be in that condition. | |

Just checking. You know, we all talked the other day about getting your husband a Yorkie of his very own. Thought you might have slipped one past us. With this crew, I'd say that would be pretty hard to do.

| Breeder Allen out of the Richmond/Rosenberg area I am also glad this thread was up and running when I started researching breeders in Texas. I never made the trip to Hockley, but made phone calls and emails and was on the verge of a visit. Thank you guys for the warning. I have continued to look for a reputable breeder in the Houston area. I got the name of a breeder named C. Allen out of the Richmond/Rosenberg area. She breeds chichahau(sp?), japanese chins, and yorkies. I have made several calls to her after our initial conversation and have not received a response. Has anyone heard of her? Thanks |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | No I haven't but breeding multiple breeds isn't a good sign - but I won't say anything because I have not dealt with them personally. If they contact you - Are you going to go visit first ? IF I were you... I'd go look around and see what goes on first before you buy ...and that's hard to do cause you may fall in love though... The other thing you can do is post a new post here and ASK if anyone knows them - Texas is a BIG state - you never know who may see it. Good luck! |

| Absolutely, I will go and look behind the scenes before buying. The net is indeed very scary, but I will just walk slowly through all this. How can someone raise so many litters of different dogs at the same time? I am a stay at home mom and just one child and 2 cats has me going around the clock. Again, I appreciate the reply, intend to call the breeder again and request a visit. If no response, that's a red flag I should move on and fast. |

| My heart breaks as I read all the posts with bad things about Brushy Creek. I purchased a very sick Yorkie from them almost a year ago. When we first learned that she was sick, everyone said I should take her back, but by that point I was in love with her. It turns out she had pneumonia, which they think started out as kennel cough, which did not respond to antibiotics. After almost 6 months of treatment at Gulf Coast Animal Hospital in Houston(I love them!!!), she finally is well. Although she has residual lung damage, she is wonderful. The sad thing, is that even after all that i went through with mine, which i thought was just a fluke because she is so small, until now i would have considered getting another puppy from her. Thank you so much for this posting...people have got to be informed so that no one will buy puppies from them...that's the only way that it will stop....this makes me want to take out an add in the chronicle classifieds saying not to buy from them.... If you need any help with going to the DA please let me know, I can help with any legal issues. |
