| Leading reproductive specialists will concur if you have a breeder, you need to keep her bred...it is the skipped heat cycles that wreck havoc on the reproductive system of breeding females. If you are keeping the breeding female in tip top shape, with correct diet and exercise, it is best for the females to breed them every cycle. When you no longer want to breed the female, spay her before she comes into heat again....it is the hormones hammering the system that cause the problems. But she needs to be kept in the best condition possible...she is an athlete and needs to be treated like one with her diet, exercise, etc. (Skip a cycle if you had to have a c-section.) | Boohoo, I feel sorry for those little females forced to carry litter after litter.

Everything we do is hormone driven....I can only imagine what goes on in our bodies. I guess I can see from a breeders perspective, I just can't imagine as a human, having 3-4 babies, and then by the time they're 3-4 months old, getting pregnant again. 18 months in between was more than enough for me, and I didn't even have a child to take care of (I was a surrogate).
