Xray said brita girl is having 2 pups. Vet said they are very tiny & should be fit her canal & she will have no problem. Im concerned she hasnt really gained any weight. ![]() Also yesterday looks like her belly dropped down & today i felt a movement like 2 fingers or something pop. Cant really explain haha I have everything ready she should be having them in 5-7 days at most. I heard the labor symptoms should be : Temp drop - she has been 99 & 100 No eating - she has been eating normal lil bits 2 day Clear discharge- she has this her vulva hair sticks a lot i have to wipe her She sleeps a lot What else ? I have read some other symptoms i cant remember anything specifically? Im watching videos & reading now

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ![]() Hi - I've been watching your thread on pins & needles right along with you to see if your girl was indeed pregnant. Looking at the pictures you've posted I was thinking you might have a false pregnancy going on, but I guess at 10+ lbs. and carrying only 2 puppies, she's got plenty of room to hide those babies in there. Congratulations on your exciting news & I wish you much luck with the whelp. The temp drop is a good guideline, but can also drive you crazy as sometimes it will go up and down, up and down. But a drop is definitely a sign that labor could happen within 24 hrs. I have found that I've been able to notice a definite temp drop by placing my hand on her belly; it will be obviously "cooler to the touch" than it has been. Their bellys are pretty warm all through their pregnancy. I learned about that trick on one of the canine pregnancy calendars that gives you week by week pregnancy progress. My girls have always gone off their food the day of or before whelping as well. I am kind of in your situation right now....wondering about one of my girls, who is likely 5 weeks along this weekend. But as I do with each & every time, my mind seems to like being a non believer until it is very obvious. ![]()

Aaawwww so exciting to have new pups.! I feel the joy! Heres a pic of now i tried to cut some of her hair. image_zps2dcbf946.jpg Photo by evelinh1990 | Photobucket Yeah shes almost 11lbs so shes pretty big & could hide them very well. She just seemed chunkier. & wider. But shes now confirmed. I thought it was a false pregnancy too but even tho deep in my heart i knew She had some symptoms & as her owner i saw a lot of change. Im so happy =]

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ![]() That picture looks a bit more promising......or maybe it's because now we KNOW she is PG. ![]() I had a Yorkie that once had a singleton puppy; that pregnancy drove me NUTS with wonder until almost the very end; even after I knew she was, looking at her it was still hard to believe. She was 6+ lbs pre pregnancy and whelped an almost 7 ounce puppy, without having a C-section thankfully. Well, as mentioned earlier in this thread (I think), or in other threads; one day you are wondering and then BAM!.......suddenly their belly blossoms and/or another sign shows up.......and you know for sure, or at least as sure as you can be until the pups arrive. Last night when I checked my Hannah, her belly seemed more solid AND even more reassuringly I noticed that she had some crusted up hair near her vulva area; the clear sticky discharge usually noticed around the 5th week. Yep, puppies coming in November!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() So, how's the status? How'd the birthing go? I hope you have time for the pups. How's Brita doing? Please, let us know. Shy and Dash and I had our first (and only) litter... well, Dash may go on to be a stud for another couple Yorkies. It's a great thing for sure. Our girls are 7 weeks today. Please get back to us when you get a chance. And get some sleep where you can ![]() |
