| Everyone can say whatever they want about how they're going to behave, but in the end, it's only actions that matter.

| I have one simple concern about the breeding tinies. When there is a problem why are the breeders who breed 5 pounds and larger females the ones who are contacted. If there is such a population of breeders here on YT breeding little ones- you need to step up to the plate. Take the phone calls in the middle of the night- get up here with your stats and information about your breeding program. Give your wealth of information to those who are breeding the little females. How many posts do we have a week at least three to four that deal with a pregnant tiny female. If I posted on a thread that I was breeding a 15 pound female with my 20 pound male-And that I needed help - problems with the pregnacy I would get just as many comments as the posts who are about breeding a smaller yorkie. I would be told over and over again about the standard and the dogs were too large. Many of us who state do not breed the tines did this one time in the past or know people who did with terrible results. You have every right to say we are breeding to big of females if you choose. No one has ever been stopped from stating their thoughts. That is the fun of debate and discussion. We have dogs on here that IMHO should never have been bred when I look at the pictures that are posted. Do I PM anyone NO. Do I make a comment that your dog is not breeding quality NO. If you ask me to look at your dog on a thread I may give you my thoughts. Many times I say nothing out of consideration for your feelings. This all about free choice. I am not going to knock on your door because you breed small dogs. I am not going to say you are a bad breeder or puppymill because you do. It is your choce. I do not have to agree. We all have different bloodlines- we all seem to look for a different style of Yorkie. We all love our dogs that is the common thread that binds us all together. Do I know it all- no way. I run into new things all the time that I have never heard of or have had happen to me. You just deal with them and go on with your life. |

| Hi, Just my thought just in new posters in general. I think sometimes when someone asks a question, instead of us sometimes staying on the subject we comment on the details of the post instead of the question its self. The post goes off track to our views about the details that bother us. To a new person Im sure its intimidating and they feel like they are being attacked sometimes. Kinda comes across like our chests are puffed out. Hows about we let them get used to us and attack them later?.......LOL JUST KIDDING!! Theres some fun in debating and Ive been ripped up a few times here.....but Ive also been pretty rude in the past to a few posts. I read them later and thought....why would you say that Kelly??? But anyway this is a fantastic learning forum and I have learned a great deal here and will learn lots more for sure!' So I hope when I post I dont make anyone feel uncomfortable. One thing for sure if you ask for advice, your gonna get it whether you like the results or not. I want the truth myself not a lie. |

| I have been on YT for a while but don't usually post. I have had my feelings hurt and I'm pretty tough skinned. People either jump on someone and make the post something else, you get lots of pats on the back but no answers to the question or worse no response at all! I do think when someone is a newbie we should only give one reply about the "tea cup" discription... I bought a Yorkie Calandar and it even made reference to "tea cup" and I thought oh no they are looking for trouble and don't even know it! I think 10 people saying the same thing to someone is a bit much. I do like reading all the responses and I have learned a lot! I do like the site but I find I take a break from it for a month sometimes at a time when I get my fill of it. I think we need more Men posting on the site and maybe it would be less of a hen house... We all love animals and some people have lots to learn and some people never have to ask the questions because they have learned the hard way or ask the questions to their mentors off the forum. When someone has the courage to ask a question think to yourself as if it was a friend asking you. Bad breeders don't take the time to learn new information and probably don't even know YT exists. I am glad everything is working out for Kandi and her 4 boys so far. Breeding is not an exact science but guide lines should be stepped carefully. I do believe that knowledge is power and this is where we all can be better people. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I actually think many times it's because people DO care that there can be 10 people saying the same thing - it shows they cared enough to A. Bothered to even POST ..... B. It must be a pretty common opinion if so many share it. Things do get repeated alot.... but in the end - we always have to remember there is a constant stream of people reading this site - if NO one spoke up for fear of hurting someones feelings - then how would anyone learn anything.... For instance - if someone asks breeding advise for a tiny - Would you WANT no one to say "Please Don't do it" ? Not me....I think it's great that so many people offer up what they know or have learned and hopefully it helps that person change their mind. I tend to think that bad breeders DO read this site - I think we have ALL kinds of people breeding who come here - they may not listen or post... but I know they're reading.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think she meant these kind of posts being repeated: or :zip: :zip: :zip: :zip: or the response of: "I'm not touching that one w/ a ten foot pole" or "sounds familiar" etc etc etc

Sorry for the man bashing but it is the last day of the year and I promise I will do better in 2006 and yes I know there are some great men on here who absolutely can take care of a Yorkie...
