Oh I feel your pain. I have loss a puppy in my past and it hurt so much. I know you are hurting and I am 100% positive you did all you could. I don't think anyone was judging you...I think that is your pain talking. It is human nature to offer advice when asked and the advice that was offered most likely was what you were already doing. There are some who have a belief that nature must take it's course and some who belive we fight tooth and nail to give the life a chance. I think you fought 'tooth and nail" . I am so sorry for your loss, I hope you know --speaking for myself --are really sorry.

| My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry that you were just not able to save this baby. I believe you did everything you could to save this baby but sometimes like others have said, someone one much mightier than you made a different decision than we wished for. Don't beat yourself up and don't let anyone's remarks make you feel worse Your suffering enough and you know you tried your best to give this wee little one a chance at life. Again, I am so sorry! | I'm sorry for your loss-- It may be a mixed blessing that some of us have weakling whelps so infrequently that we don't get enough practice to confidently and proficiently force a tube into a puppy that isn't swallowing. You took the best possible care of a little puppy that was just to sick to help you with the fight.

| tiny newborn passed away I've just read some of your last post and just wanted you to know they brought tears to my eyes. I don't give up on anything easily, I certainly would not give up on a puppy. I know none of you know me personaly but if you did you would know that I know God knows what is best. If this puppy was meant to live it would have. I did everything I could have done. I have never had a puppy that small and I thought from the begining something about it's tung looked different and the way it was opening it's mouth so big.I just figured it looked different because it was so tiny. The vet didn't say anything about the puppy so I don't know if it was normal or not...it jerked around alot..anyways thank you for your heart felt words, and those of you with advice about the sponge feeding method..it didn't work on this puppy but looks like a great way of feeding a puppy that the mom won't nurse. Thank you, Laurie YORKIES IN THE MEADOWS on FB |
