I use a wahl peanut trimmer for ears and eventually the bottom of the paws.A
mustache trimmer will also work.

Start asking breeders about sales cobtracts...another thing to ad to what I can only imagine is a HUGE to do list!

Lots of pics, you might never do this again but looking back sleepless nights and will be forgotten over the memories of cute puppy happenings!

I was just thinking if you give the breeder money is she saying she would offer
1. whelping help
2. Sales contract
3. Will she cover these pups with her health guarentee
4. Will ahe assume vet costs
5. Is she offering the sires owner pick of the litter or was it cash?

Money for pups with no effort or expense...or the morality reputable breeders take on.

OH MY!!! I just read your post and replies. I cannot believe that anyone would breed a dog that is only 12 months?? Isn't that dangerous? Congrats on the puppies and very glad they are all healthy and absolutely beautiful! In MY opinion you do not owe the seller that you bought her from anything, that includes NO MORE MONEY!! Hoping the breeder has wised up and agree with the others, I wouldn't give her a dime. Insane she put your poor baby girl through that at such a young age!!!!!! Kisses to your babies

Wow. Just read this thread. Just incredable that a breeder would breed such a young female and then sell it without knowing if it was pregnant or not!!
If she had any kind of breeding experience she had to have known.
I would not pay her a cent. Unless you plan on selling these pups as show prospects why bother getting the papers for them at all? Do you know how to evaluate a show prospect? They usually need to be at least 5 to 6 months old to estimate what quality they may turn out to be. Why not find them good homes and sell for a few hundred dollars just to make sure the people will value the babies. The money is not as important as making sure they have perfect forever homes but you do need to charge them at least a few hundred dollars for them. Many breeders sell puppies without breeding rights for $800.00 to $1500. If you charged $400 to $500 for these little dolls it would be more than reasonable considering how much time and effort you put into raising them. Maybe you would want to keep one for yourself. Maybe you have friends or family who would want one. I'm sure you will find perfect homes for them if you do a great interview process.

wow just read through the entire thread...congrats on your new little family..and i wouldn't say anything to the previous owner about the puppies. She sold away all rights when she sold you your little baby.
