| I was not referring to you. There's few other people here who are quite nasty. I am appalled by this site. I originally came on here basically 'warning' people who are in Northern cali wanting to buy yorkies from Tinyyorkiekisses and I am getting attacked for saying that I spent so much time doing my research on yorkshire terriers PRIOR to purchasing Expensive Beautiful Lines to finally breed. I only mentioned that I am a "Hobby "breeder and I have beautiful lines. That was it and it has turned to this. So thanks to YorkieTalk Forum for such wonderful people on here. WOW. Just wow! |

| I'm so confused! Someone said in reference to their dogs that they breed: In quotes... "You can google them and yes both dogs are akc registered but with limited registration." Then in the next post that same person said my dogs are "FULL Registration." Was one of these statements an error and if so which one? And why would you spend tons of posts "schooling" others about mistakes or misunderstanding? I don't understand the two statements coexisting. Is there a mistake?? ![]() And please don't call me names for noticing inconsistencies and asking for clarification???

1. I make sure when I search for breeders they have no RED flags. Ie: teacups partycolors rare etc. 2. All MY dogs need to be AKC registered NO EXCEPTION! 3. My breeders intention needs to be VERY clear to me. They are in it to truly better the breed. Not make a profit bc bills are piling up or they need to get through school. Etc. 4. I will NEVER buy a dog who is not willing to sell on a spay/neuter contract. If they are. This basically means Yeah I could care less who breeds my dog. Ill just charge more for the honest ones and that should do it. Its irresponsible ans selfish in soooooo many reasons. 5. Health Guarantee which is typically for a year. Why goodness it takes about that time for you to really get the dog settled in amd trained. If not longer. This short time is a timeframe in which rarely any fault exists. READ CONTRACTS thoroughly.! This is why lawyers make a killing off of this particular specialization. FACT! 6.I want my dog to be the happiest it will ever be in my care. I know I will do my part but truly I agree with what was said on here previously. You are purchasing the breeder. Not the pups. Bc in my opinion they are all adorable. Will they meet all health standards? This is why we buy from those reputable breeders who have nothing negative said about them. Please research the breeder! 7. If the breeder your dealing with cannot provide factual information. Or something ever seems a bit funny. Always go with your gut that something may be wrong. 8. A breeder NEVER will breed for ANYTHING purposfully out of standard or what is recommended. Meaning a dam should NEVER be less than 5lbs when mating. 9. All puppies should come with some type of health certification also from a reputable vet. Shots need to be UTD & physical condition needs to be checked. 10. Last but not least. ANYONE can say. Not everyone can do. Please make sure you are completly READY for a new pet. Dont sake a puppys life just bc you had the extra cash at the time and the puppies looked so cute. An animal is not a gucci purse or a fancy bracelet. They are a life which needs to be cherished. Contact local rescues and forums such as this and REACH out. Finding the right breeder WILL take time. Anything in life that comes to you that easily usually isnt worth it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spay/neuter your pet for you AND your pets sake. No argument. I like many others just want to make sure these pups and adult doggies are treated with love bc they have no voice. WE are that!

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | This is one of those threads that points out why the term "hobby breeder" is such a crock. If you want a hobby, take up needle point. This is not someone who is breeding to improve or even maintain the breed. This is someone who is trying to make money off of breeding dogs without even having a clear understanding of what ethical breeding practices consist of. In other words, a backyard breeder. This is also a perfect example of why someone can claim good lines but still produce an dog that's far from quality. It's also a perfect example of why the saying is choose your breeder, then choose your dog.

| Hobby breeder - oh my goodness. Taking the lives of several animals in your hands during breeding, pregnancy, whelping, pupping raising and placing them in homes is a HOBBY!!!!!!! Where things like the lives of dogs are concerned, why wouldn't one either leave it entirely alone or study for years, research genetics and all aspects of dog health and the reproductive process from start to finish, get mentored expertly, take courses in dog first aid, CPR, breeding/pregnancy/whelping and go into it fully in order to offer your little charges the best of the best all along the road and state proudly to the world, I am a PROFESSIONAL breeder - the best of the best. Where dogs' lives are involved, don't you owe it to them to top all others ?
