I was thinking about keeping one or two, I do right now have 3 dogs and one I only breed. What is the most dogs that you can have in one house before you are called a kennel??? I think that after this is done I am not going to breed any more, I will have them all fixed. Hope that someone can help.

| I have never heard of this before, ok so if someone has more than 3 dogs that are pets only then they are considered a kennel?

| That is what I have beent told. It is like if you would be a breeder and have more then 5 to 6 dogs, it is like you are running your own business and then you have to pay taxes on this and so on and so on. I had this happend to me when I was going to get a puppy and find out the she had a puppy mill and had to call the zoning ordinance in her town and they told me that she did not have the license to do this. So I am just wanting to know what is the # that you can have. Did not know that it is different in each state. Hope that this helps you. Quote:

| Around here (inside the city limits)... the maximum number of dogs (legally) is 4... if you have more and someone reports you ... the "extras" can be taken from you or you are asked to find new homes for them... Many people inside the city limits have more... but they either stay inside (nobody knows about them) or nobody reports them. I live outside the city limits on 7 acres... so I can basically can have as many as I want to. Also... you are not a kennel unless you are an establishment which breeds, trains or boards animals. A kennel is also a building you may keep your various dogs in... but you are not "a Kennel" unless you do the above....

| That is am not....Kennel. I do have 3 dogs right now, and only one is fixed I do plan on getting the other done too. plus I do have a inside cat that has no balls to go out doors.....lol I live right outside of charlotte and do have a house that is on 3 acres and the dogs do not just run about with out me. I think that I might just keep one just incase something should happen.
