| OH, how i wish i could find a different job!! For my age, and the jobs available around here, my job is extremely good. I've moved up pretty high in the past couple years. With that said, I also dislike my job very much and its something i would have never dreamed of doing. I have been job searching for a long time with no luck. I also do not plan on becoming a reputable breeder anytime soon, although Yorkies have been my passion since the first one i met when i was just a young girl, and i really do see Yorkies in my future, for the rest of my life. I have put so much time into learning every thing I can. So, it is agreeable that I should not continue to go any further with it until I am able to dedicate all the time that is needed to be there 24/7. I also would love to be able to travel to shows and such to see the perfect standard one by one and continue to understand the breed. I wish so much that i could be home for the first two weeks or so with them and Pheobe. I cant change what is, at least not now. Right now all im trying to do is everything I can to make sure mom and pups are safe and make sure there is nothing to compromise that. I just cant believe the chances of her possibly having them one the ONE DAY that I cannot be at home for... oh how torturous fate is.. SIDE NOTE: her temp at 9 a.m. is 99.3 (still no drop)

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | Not everyone's temps change. Most do. I too am learning all I can. I have whelped three litters. And thank goodness every pup and mom did great. But I was with them 24/7. I found this site after and was going to continue on. But after reading and learning more I have decided at this point not to. I was very lucky all my pups went to good homes and I get updated pictures on lots of them. Some even come over for play dates. But with that said there are twice as many sad cases. My girl had huge litters also seven each time. I miss it. But think my next dog someday down the road will be a rescue. We do have a outside/inside husky border collie we rescued twelve years ago. Good luck and I sure hope it works you can be home.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Definitely this close to her due date (when is her due date(s) anyway), you can not leave her alone.....so do have your mom there Monday if you can't be. If she does not have them today/tonight, chances are you will know in the morning if her time is imminent by the temp drop and/or lack of interest in breakfast. With either of those, the "norm" is that you may still have 12-24 hours before whelp begins............and then again there is always the Yorkie that doesn't go by the rules. Gotta be prepared for anything! I am one of the lucky ones with a job that has set hours, and yet my boss is always flexible. I've got LOTS of vacation time accrued & usually only use week long vacation time for whelps and/or weeks when the pups are a bit older, and/or when we adopt a new puppy ourselves. I am so thankful to have been blessed with all 6 of our whelps being trouble-free. Wishing you the same with Phoebe.

| Her due date was yesterday/today(28th/29th) Both from debbie jensens site, i got two different ones depending on which source i used. My job is set hours as well, I just don't have flexibility. If i am not there, then someone else HAS TO TRY to accomplish my job along with theirs. What I do reflects on many different factors and reports(which i send out to different depts.). Along with that my boss was pretty much a jerk about this whole thing, in the sense of "dogs have been doing this for ever without help". He is reluctant to approve vacation time for this and my respect for him has almost diminished due to things he has said to me on the matter. My mother will be here, and as soon as she she sees signs of labor, so will I. That's just how its going to be. haha

| Wanted to update this morning before work.. No pups yet, or signs of labor. My mother stayed with her all day yesterday and will be here today as well. Im beginning to get worried. Not sure if its justified or if im just being a worry wart. Spoke with the vet yesterday and they said if she does not have them by Wednesday, get her in asap Thursday. So, thats got me even more anxious, im getting no sleep and worked looooong hours yesterday. UGH!! Also, the owner of the stud ( breeder of 17 years ) also called, as she was expecting news by Sunday. She said the same thing as the vet and is starting to get concerned herself I beleive after a lot of convincing and a long talk, whatever the case, i will be off work Thursday and Friday ( and then through the weekend). If she were to have them today it will be through the rest of the week. On a little upside she is beginning to groom herself more and is extremely restless. no change in temp readings or eating habits. Gosh, i really hope everything goes alright... it's gunna be a long day at work...
