Definitely this close to her due date (when is her due date(s) anyway), you can not leave her alone.....so do have your mom there Monday if you can't be. If she does not have them today/tonight, chances are you will know in the morning if her time is imminent by the temp drop and/or lack of interest in breakfast. With either of those, the "norm" is that you may still have 12-24 hours before whelp begins............and then again there is always the Yorkie that doesn't go by the rules. Gotta be prepared for anything!
I am one of the lucky ones with a job that has set hours, and yet my boss is always flexible. I've got LOTS of vacation time accrued & usually only use week long vacation time for whelps and/or weeks when the pups are a bit older, and/or when we adopt a new puppy ourselves. I am so thankful to have been blessed with all 6 of our whelps being trouble-free.
