Do you realize both could be injured during the mating process? Whelping needs an experienced hand as well. | |

| Is this the one you bought as a teacup puppy and has a hernia. Gosh I feel so sorry for these two dogs. Get them spayed/neutered and enjoy them as pets, they are not breeding quality anyway. |

| Good gosh, i just spayed my 2 yr old 4 1/2 lb female today, she is way to small to breed. I have had some litters and i wouldn't even attempt to breed that small. Please spay your girl and just love her.

Why put your girl through this? She is not of breeding quality as someone else indicated. She's small. You obviously do not know what you are doing. Do we really need another random litter of Yorkie puppies? Please, spay your girl and love her for the little princess that she is.

| Easy: Separate them. No offense, but if you are just now trying to figure out the answers to these questions--via website vs with a mentor at that--then you are no where near ready to breed dogs. (Responsibly, at least.) Plus, sounds as if she may be a little on the small side to breed. (Most won't attempt to breed a female less than 5 lbs, minimum.) Sorry if that sounds blunt, but there really is no other way to put it. Breeding RESPONSIBLY is something that should only be done after extensive research and working with an experienced mentor. Given the question you are posing here and in your other posts, it's obvious that that crucial step has been skipped. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Breeding is a serious thing and should not be taken lightly. You should not attempt to breed them if you have no idea what you are doing ! If your female has had a hernia.... Not a good idea. The effect that a pregnancy could have on the hernia is serious. To much of a chance of putting her life at risk over a litter of pups. With the possibility of only whelping one at that. The outcome is by far too serious to predict and would not be worth the loose of your female. Be very careful not to allow them to breed and if it were me, I would have her spayed..

| First, how old is your female? If she is an adult at 4-1/2 lbs she is under standard weight for breeding! You are risking the life of your female...did you realize that?

| 58 days pregant Yorkie. My healthy 6.5 lbs Yorkie is 58 days pregnant and I think she might be due soon because of her behavior. She was x rayed last week and the vet saw 3-4 puppies and she would be fine whelping on her own. Any personal advice or experience? What day did your Yorkie whelp? | Totally new female. She is 1.5 years old. She is 60 days and still no puppies. I have been doing some research online and I read that younger females whelp earlier and if the litter is more than 3 puppies that also is a factor for an earlier whelp date. I thought I would post on here and maybe get some advice and knowledge from experienced breeders. Or perhaps when your own yorkies have whelped? Hope I can get some good advice. |
