Easy: Separate them. No offense, but if you are just now trying to figure out the answers to these questions--via website vs with a mentor at that--then you are no where near ready to breed dogs. (Responsibly, at least.) Plus, sounds as if she may be a little on the small side to breed. (Most won't attempt to breed a female less than 5 lbs, minimum.) Sorry if that sounds blunt, but there really is no other way to put it.
Breeding RESPONSIBLY is something that should only be done after extensive research and working with an experienced mentor. Given the question you are posing here and in your other posts, it's obvious that that crucial step has been skipped.
