Dee, I truly hope you are better and continue to gain your strength. Just ignore the ignorance and do not let it upset you. I honestly can't believe you did not get an apology. If your add did not say he was being sold at 5 weeks, you deserve an apology, end of discussion.

All of you have stated your opinions a million times on where you stand as rescuers, breeders, the show ring etc. At some point you need to get a life and stop making others feel like crap because they are not YOU! Live your life with your convictions but dont point fingers at people who live by different standards.

You would think some of the breeders on this site were Michael Vick by the way you people treat them! You should be ashamed of your childish ways! Live with your convictions, but treat people with kindness. Have you ever thought that by doing so, you might gain a friend or change someone's way of breeding, etc?

Oh boy Dana~wonderful to see you here I am NOT apologizing since any other time it would not have been acceptable to advertise a puppy in this manner. If anything it should be even more or a red flag that it was a YT member who has sold and advertised puppies on YT whether that be now or in the past. It doesn't fly that she is claims to be ill. Advertising puppies at 5 weeks, implying that he his show quality and stating that he has show dogs in his background would be frowned upon any other time and it is wrong this time as well!

I do treat people with kindness, surrounding myself with people of my own convictions and am very comfortable with my choices. My moral compass needs not be reset.

It still sounds like you will sell him as a breeder. Dee, you should KNOW that a dog shouldn't be sold as a breeder at this age. I can't believe that more breeders aren't speaking up against this.

I hope you make a speedy recovery. I am so sorry to hear about your illness. I wish you the best in finding your little guy a good home. Please don't allow what people say to hurt your recovery, apparently there are alot of people who are perfect and can also walk on water. I don't think these attacks are warranted since I am sure you are too ill to be thinking clearly. We all make mistakes and yours was corrected thats all that matters as far as I am concerned. Yes it is impossible to know if a puppy is show quality at 5 weeks old but I still don't see a point in attacking you for being ill. I wish you all the best!

Excellent point. If he's not leaving until he is 12 weeks old, why advertise him now?

I also don't understand why you put all that information about your illness in the ad. Your medical problems are no one's business and don't really have a place in the ad. That's what made it sound like this puppy had to be placed quickly.

I guess people assumed you meant "5 week old pup ready to go now" the same way you assumed they would know better. There really are a lot of uneducated buyers out there, and it being the holidays they thought, "PERFECT! I guess I will be able to get my girlfriend/wife/fiancée/brother (you name it) that dog they wanted for Christmas." I guess it's true what they say about placing pups during the holidays. You just never know what kind of people would approach you during this time. If you have time later, you might want to take a look at the ad again as a whole. This time, med free.

I will carry on thank you very much and do not need your permission to do so. Any other time that a thread has been started regarding a breeder selling puppies in this manner it was considered to be a breeder with questionable practices. Should I go and look where you in the past you have agreed on this point. Why the sudden flip flop in your opinion of right and wrong? Is it who you are keeping company with now. Perhaps it is you and not I that needs to take a long look at who you align yourself with. Just sayin......

You are a real piece of work. lol Last I checked you have never met ME and you dont have a flippin clue who I keep company with. In fact, No ONE on YT does. I might have met a few people on YT from the Dallas area, but I dont have any YT BFF's who know my life story, and you for sure dont! But again, This is what you do. Take one thing and run with it....

What I said was Dee deserved an apology... for what you ORIGINALLY accused her off. You have sense pointed out all the other things in her add that you have issues with. But, be reminded of what you named this thread....Your issue was this puppy was being sold at 5 weeks when her add said HOLD.

So, you assume all you want where I stand. But, if you mis read something, started a thread talking about that ISSUE....seems like you could atleast apologize for what you did wrong here. NOW, you are all but calling her a liar for being sick? Not cool.

Like I said, we all know how you feel about breeding and I think I have made my self clear there as well. I dont have to re hash it in every thread on Yorkie Talk.

I'm glad the ad now clearly reflects that the pup will not leave until 12 weeks. I'm glad it also says "limited registration". I'm also sorry the breeder is sick.

But I have to question why you are all jumping on Megansmomma. If the breeder in question were anyone OTHER than a YT member, would you be so quick to defend? I don't think so. Instead, you would all be shaking your heads and lamenting how sad it is for a pup to be separated at 5 weeks. Caveat emptor. There aren't (or at least shouldn't be) two sets of standards- one for YT members, one for everyone else.
