Thank you Gloria. I am not selling him as a show prospect. had I been able to keep him and he turned out nice, then yes, he would have gone in the show ring.

The only thing that I can figure it that the ones that are attacking the most are in bed together and share breeding practices. Funny, when I went back to look over previous posts of Baxtermommy it looks like she jumped ship into questionable waters about 7/10. Up until that point and time she would have not found this type of breeding ethics acceptable. So that leave me to think~what gives?

Even at 12 weeks of age that is still very young to allow a puppy to go off to a new home. I can add this to all of the other red flags in the original ad. Regardless of loss of blood it still doesn't mean that you lose your breeding ethics or for that fact it should be an acceptable excuse that this is a member of YorkieTalk. Ethics are ethics regardless of how much blood you have rolling through your veins!

You are actually the first person who's ever called me a "trouble maker", I knew some of the breeder here didn't like my posts, but I didn't think I was a troublemaker. I think all dog owners need to stand up and protect dogs, and I love the Yorkshire Terrier Breed, and will stand up and protect it. I think it's a shame that many can't speak up because they are threatened with lawsuits. What exactly have I said that you think could sue me over?

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I read the link and thought that the breeder was looking for a pet home for her puppy. I made no assumption that the puppy was going to leave at 5 weeks. Just that she was not keeping him and was now willing to take a deposit to hold him until the time for him to leave which for many breeders here on Yt is 8 weeks or 10 weeks. I think folks were a little fast in jumping to conclusions that the puppy would be leaving at 5 weeks. While Puppyfind is not my favorite place to advertise, the breeder does get a larger audience there.

Maybe she should have indicated the 12 weeks as she edited the ad to read, but the breeder stated she was ill, and we all make mistakes. But the forum has really been quick to jump lately with tongue lashings. JMHO

It could be possible that in her current state of health, she neglected to stop and think of all of the ways that her ad could be twisted.

Deposit to hold was enough of an indication to me that she had no intention of letting it go immediately. Why else would you hold it. Especially if you were in a hurry to get it off your hands. you would want it gone now, you would not be holding it for someone.

Remember she did not have to come on her to take ownership of that ad, tus avoiding all of this harassment.
