| 'Little Charlie' Little 'Charlie' (...lord help me, I've named him so he'd better make it now...damn it), began making some sucking motions during an early AM feeding with the eye dropper. While he is too weak to nurse off of Mom yet, (plus the other 3 little hooligans push past him), I see this tiny sign as progress...maybe, hopefully? I didn't think I'd invested so much emotionally in Charlie, but there you have it. I did ask the vet about tubing him and mentioned I'd read about it here, on Yorkie Talk. He said we should give the pup 24hrs. to see if his sucking response strengthens...if not, to bring him in and they'll show me how to tube. Oh my.

| Thank you all for your kind words & prayers! Little Charlie is still with us. Had the vet's tubing demo. Honestly, it was a bit scary for me. What I want to know is how I can give my draft horses their vaccinations, help a 1200 pound mare foal out, debride wounds, administer meds, wormer, etc...yet, here is this tiny, tiny creature that manages to reduce me into a pile of wobbly mush when it comes to tubing him!? My new mantra: "I can do this, I can do this..."

You are a special person to work so hard at giving Charlie a chance. YOU can do it. And I too have never felt about any other animal as I do about my yorkies. They are incredible little buckets of love. Keep us posted and sending you prayers. Dion

| Hi everyone~ just a quick update on Charlie. I weigh him every day, but he hasn't gained anything...yet. I took a couple of quick snapshots this morning. Momma Sassy and 3 siblings are doing fine now. Thank you all for your continued well wishes!
