Little 'Charlie' (...lord help me, I've named him so he'd better make it now...damn it), began making some sucking motions during an early AM feeding with the eye dropper. While he is too weak to nurse off of Mom yet, (plus the other 3 little hooligans push past him), I see this tiny sign as progress...maybe, hopefully? I didn't think I'd invested so much emotionally in Charlie, but there you have it. I did ask the vet about tubing him and mentioned I'd read about it here, on Yorkie Talk. He said we should give the pup 24hrs. to see if his sucking response strengthens...if not, to bring him in and they'll show me how to tube. Oh my.
