| Should I be worried Hi, I have a heat question.. CoCo went in to heat around June 15th, my question is she bled as usual and then stoped for a week..and then bled again about a week later.. but now it is August 12th and she is showing "bleeding" again.. this would be about 8 weeks from her first bleeding.. is this normal? She will be spayed next month.... this is her third heat, but because she was and is so little my vet wanted to wait until she was a little bigger... The vet did a full blood panel on June 15th , she said every thing was excellent and when she was finish with her heat we would spayed and clean and pull baby teeth.. CoCo will is 19 months old... __________________

| I wish I could answer your question, but I have no clue. I am sure someone will come along and answer. Have you called your vet and asked him/her? |

| I wish I could offer more. If she is playing and acting normal, that's a good sign for sure. Ok, where are the breeders that can answer so I am not here dancing around the question...... |

The fact that she bled, stopped then bled again is most not something I'd relate to this. If I were to guess, she has an infection. Regardless of what she has a vet visit is mandatory. Don't hesitate, take her in right away. Green isn't good. Why did he say to wait until she is bigger? My vet spays any size unless the have something wrong in the blood test. Have them run a full blood panel, then spay. If everything is excellent then she should be healthy. If this was my bitch I would find a vet that sees more toys. Three seasons, you are increasing the risk of cancer and gambling pyrometria. Get her spayed asap. You will be thankful for it. | |

| Are you sure it's blood? I had a roommate once who's female dog would leave little drops of something on the carpet. She was spayed. It was determined she needed her anal glands expressed and what we saw was anal leakage. Gross I know. I agree with the others, time to have her seen by her vet. Whatever it is doesn't sound normal.

| Hi, I have never had this happen to one of my girls, but I agree with Elle, your little girl needs to be seen by a vet if she is bleeding again at this stage. I would be very concerned that she may have a uterine infection and it is better to be safe than sorry as pyometra can be fatal. Every time your girl goes into season and is not bred her chances of pyometra go up.
