TRAGEDY!!!- Hearbroken I cant beleive wat has happened with my Yorkie Mums. Stella had the cesarian with 2 surviving pups 10 days premature still holding on..... Marnie had 6 pups... due on time, all were doing extremely well..... THEN Marnie wanted to go for a wee..... came down the stairs so i let her out in the garden for a few mins and she went back up stairs.... i went up a few mins after her and found 4 of her pups DEAD!... puncture wounds on the neck.... Stella done it....(i forgot to shut Marnies door)..im heartbroken and feel so bad that i didnt go up and shut the door thinking she would be only a few mins in the garden which Marnie was......... I spoke to the vet and he asked me if Stella had done this before and i said yes last year with one of Maisey pups... he said if she did it once she would always do it.... she is psychotic???....... Also....Marnie has lots of milk.... do you think i could try to put Stellas pups on to Marnie for milk and take the pups off Stella altogether as she doesnot seem to be doing well with them. If so how would i go about doing it? What do you think.

We must remember, They Are Animals! And Animals attack and Kill others offspring. As a Breeder one should prepare themselves for anything. I hope someone with Breeding knowledge can help you.

what i have done is take the mother out of the area for several minutes let all pups be together and rub them together you can also put a tad vicks on the tails so they all smell the same and than let her back in if she is a great mom she will accept them i have never had a problem with a mother fostering other pups

I'm so sorry for your loss! What I do with orphan pups is rub the new litter mates' bottoms on the orphans until they urinate on them. The mother excepts the pups everytime. Hope this helps!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That was truly MEAN ! I've never seen such a horrible comment that was made by a REAL member here. I'm hoping you may be a ''troll' that scrolls the net looking for trouble because that was a shocking comment to make. I hope you feel proud of yourself because no one else will be receptive to you in the future if you last that long. In my opinion - I hope you get banned and quickly. As far as your puppies Shasha- I'm no breeder but you will have to keep them apart if this happened before - I don't know if what I'm saying is correct but I'd never take a chance like this if it happened before I'm sorry and you must be devestated - I also wonder if you can stop having females having puppies at the same time - it may not solve this behavior but at least you have control over what may happen

Hiya..... well ive introduced the weakest of Stellas pup to Marnie (who is a wonderful and very caring mum) and she seems to have taken ok with the pup...i stayed with for a hour.. and every 10mins kept looking in on her and she seems quite contented with the pup.... Stella has just got the one and seems ok with it.... alot more settled and has finally started to eat a little as well..... fingers crossed that all will go well now......ill see how it goes with Stella but im thinking should i leave the pup with her or if i take it off her will it make her too anxious???? by the way...i do appreciate all your help and advice given to me during this tragic time...many thanks xxxx
