I know you are keeping your males separate...but when they are in the yard, smelling where your female has peed and marked...it will only make matters worse...who wants to listen to males whine and bark for weeks at a time?

If you don't want a pregnancy you need to keep them separated.....at all times. That means separate rooms, separate potty breaks. That "trying to mount" will turn into a successful tie in the blink of an eye, eve with you right there, seriously. Don't take any chances if you don't want an oops pregnancy.

Gotcha! So when her first heat passes, will I be able to have them all together again? I know I cant have her spayed while in heat and I beleive that im supposed to wait 6 weeks after her heat to spay her, so still keep them apart?

Welcome to the joys of owning unneutered animals. Just a caution always which I think you do go out in the backyard when your female is in heat. Boys can be pretty daring and courageous in climbing under and over fences, and I'm not just talking about your two boys.

The other thing is a bitch in season can get pretty cantankerous with the males, and other females ..(there is a reason they are called bitches)

lol....yes there is a big attitude adjustment going on with her! I def. noticed that! Yes...Im starting to get just how serious that scent she gives off actually is...but i am already always always with them anyway because im afraid of hawks and we have a pool so Ive never ever left their side. I know our neighbor has a dog and the fence is in need of repair so thank you for the word of caution...Ill be extra careful!(and work on the fence)

yep they can, I have 2 boys that are neutered and everytime Friday comes in season they let me know by trying. I even have a female pom that is spayed and she follows her around sniffing her. So you are better off getting her fixed. Or just get them all fixed because the boys will start lifting their legs if they haven't started already.
