| I agree with you Donna, I think it is much harder now. I think that too many of the top breeders have been burned too many times. My mentor has told me that she is most cautious with other breeders as they know the right things to say, but don't always keep their word. When I get my new boy next month, I won't be making a move without checking with my mentor first, my reputation for keeping my promises is the most important thing that I have. I find it is way harder now to convince people that you are sincere. You really have to prove yourself.

| Sometimes there is a very long wait time for a show puppy from a "top" breeder.

| One last thought...I do not mean a novice contacting these breeder..of course they start at square one..but someone as yourself who is showing and finishing dogs should be able to buy a very nice potential, at least co-own if you do that...you have proven yourself to be trustworth..breeders can only handle and finish so many in a year or so...it is wonderful when a reputable person as yourself can take add to the breeders numbers. Best wishes.. PS My friend has a specials out, I LOVE THAT BOY!!!..it is her first Yorkie..breeder got to know her and now she is working on her second... I love Pastoral also..not too many in Florida, a much smaller and darker Yorkie is liked here.. |

| Yes, there are "show" breeders that do sell to people but then again those are some I wouldn't buy from myself. I"m not talking about Betty Ann as I think she's a wonderful breeder and I would for sure buy from her but I'm waiting on a pup from who I want to buy from and I'm just waiting and gaining their trust and confidence And Sookie you are right it may take a long time to buy that show pup from a "top" breeder I wouldn't expect anything less |

Pastoral normally has small darker yorkies. I love a friend out in Florida who is doing really well for herself! She rocks!!! Again, thank you on the best wishes | |

| OH, dear...I did not mean there are poor quality Yorkies in FLorida..I like Leslie's, Rita's, Carole's, Barb..both barbs...boy I am in trouble!!! LOL I think I am referring to some judges I have spoken with..they told me they liked darker and smaller...not what I was used to in the MD/VA/DC area..but that was 5 yrs ago..times passes us all by a some point. As to Pastoral..I have only seen her steel blue...but then again I do not see all of her dogs. PS..the girl I have now is not my coat type..but others like her and I am having fun...
