| ![]() Is there anything that I can give him to settle him down? I had him upstairs all night and he barked and ran around for about 5 hours!!! He just wont give it up. I am surprised that he is not exhausted today, Btu he is doing ti again, running in circles barking. My other male the older one is not really caring about it. LOL he is just sleeping right now, My female is whining. WOW this is crazy! |

| ![]() My other male ( the older one) is 4lbs exactly and he is 4 years old and he wont get any bigger. The litters that she had all teh puppies stayed between 4 and 5 punds. Most of the people keep in touch with me so I know they are still small. My female is 5lbs 3oz and she is 3 years old. |

| ![]() if you put the males together they will end up fighting. It sounds like you need to give your girl a break or you will have problems normally they should not be breed till 2yrs old then every other heat at best. |

| ![]() The female is 3 years old. Not always the case in skipping, depends on how the female did, along with her "bouncing back". A pregnant uterus is a healthy uterus.

| ![]() Vanilla has worked for Harley( just a little on his nose). I still keep them seperate and even keep a diaper on the female. Not because it will keep them from mating (because it wont) but because a females scent is soooo strong. It is going to be in the air no matter what, but I dont want her to drip all over the house. I let them take turns in the room. This way one of them is not locked up for 30 days. Yes, 30 days!!! Harley will still try to get her.

I would keep them all seperated for her entire cycle. Oh! you don't have to have a tie to impregnate. All that is necessary is for the initial ejaculation to result in a litter. As for your crazy boys.....vanilla is one thing to try. I use Calm Downs, get it at PetSmart. My boys do go off food and get little sleep. Be careful with the young one...make sure he's eating....keep NutriCal on hand and I keep DYNE on hand to supplement the boys with extra calories.

| ![]() Welcome to the world of craziness with breeding. Yes, males do go crazy - whinning, howling, not eatting, and have a hard time just resting while a female is in heat. Yes, your little one can sire a litter. You will need to DNA the mother, sires (both boys) and the whole litter (all pups) in order to register them now. Here is information about how to go about it and cost (if they are AKC): American Kennel Club - Multiple-Sired Litter Registration - Multiple-Sired Litter Registration Application is used. An additional fee of $200 is required, plus the normal registration fees for each sire/pup combination. For example: a litter with 2 puppies from one sire and 3 puppies from a second sire would therefore cost $200 plus $29 for litter one and $31 for litter two = $260 total. These fees are in addition to the DNA processing costs. If your female is only 3 years old and you have breed her 4 times - has she ever had a break and not been bred?? You need to for health reasons. YOu might not have know, so just trying to help. Best wishes and hope things calm down for you soon. Keep them all apart and things should get better soon. P.S. Having her bred with 2 sires will not hurt her. Just confusing for parentage of pups and will have to all be DNA. Last edited by topknot; 03-20-2010 at 10:13 AM. |

| ![]() She has had 3 litters and this would be her 4th litter. I did not let her breed till she was 1 year old. She had a litter a year and this would be a litter that was back to back. This one was a surprise, She didnt show any signs of going into heat this time. Usually I can tell when she is going into heat But this time she totally surprised me. The little boy was with her just the one time I caught them, Then I separated them. Now they are all in different rooms. Totally MAD at me. I will put a diaper on her, I hope that might help at least a little. I did put some vanilla on the little guy's nose, but he didnt pay any attention to it and is still barking and running around the room, wanting to get to her. When is is older and ready to mate, he is going to be crazy.! She has had 4 puppies in each litter that she had 3 females and 1 male in each litter, she is consistant with the number of puppies and the sex of the puppies. I hope that she will not have a bigger litter. She is a self whelper and I have not had to help in any way with her. |

| ![]() I did not think the vanilla would work, but was a great idea. The males determine the sex of the puppies and the female determines how many. The diaper usually does not work. They can get passed it, so still keep them in different parts of the house. Breeding can drive a houshold mad while the girls are in heat. Hey, I had four one time in heat and not breeding them. That was a crazy month. But at least they all came in at once. One time I was not so lucky and they were all about 2 weeks apart. That was a really long time around here. So just be careful and hope you have a lot of patience. Time will go by soon. Best wishes. |
