Any April (Easter) litters........

I think we may have pups within 24 hours!! Roxy woke me up this morning digging around under my bed!! Now she is comfortable in HER bed.... relaxing, nesting and sighing! And not eating.... = ) That's the biggest indication. I think we are real close. Will try to post x-rays pictures (having technical difficulties). I am excited, suppose to have 3. Officially due Tuesday, April 6th but I really don't think we are going to make it til then!!! Good luck to everyone - The waiting is so hard, I think I empathize way too much with the Momma when she gets so big it's hard to just breathe... *s*

Woohoo..............awesome! Sounds like Roxy is on her way. Good luck to the two of you for a safe & easy whelp. While you are waiting, yes please do try to fix the technical difficulties & post the xray pics.

Halle's x-ray appointment was at 10 this morning. Sorry for the delay, but I had to go to work right after the appointment. But here I am and here is the x-ray picture.....Attachment 313134 For those of you needing assistance, head #1 is under the nipple nearest the back legs, head #2 is under the third nipple, and the 3rd head is directly to the left of the second one.

Can you see them? 1-, 2-, 3- little puppies in there!!!
I am over-joyed; three is such a nice sized litter for a yorkie, not to few and not to many. Dr. Johnson said that Halle did great and that the puppies look to be lined up to "slide right out". Ha, I'd like to hear her try telling Halle that while she is in labor. LOL What she meant was that the skulls were the right size and that the puppies were all pretty much stretched out the length of Halle's body rather than curled up. Even after having a terrible time getting Halle to eat in the early weeks of her pregnancy, she has gone from just under 7 pounds to 8.5 lbs today. She is such a beautiful little mama to be..................just look at her...........Attachment 313133

I just posted yesterday that Roxanne may be up to something, but her due date isn't til 4/6/10! We had puppies last night! A total of 5 (when I expected 3). 1 boy and 4 girls. 5.1 oz, 4.6 oz, 4.2 oz, and two at 2.8 oz. All strong, altho the small little girls are rather skinny!!! All nursing well. I rotated the bigger ones out for a few hours last night, after they had their fill, trying to make sure the little ones get as much as they want from Momma. I will be supplementing, it looks like; 5 is the biggest yorkie litter I've ever had. BUT, I am happy and tired and Roxy did a GREAT job. I'm off to make whelping pudding; just thot I'd pop in here with my good news.... = ) Happy Easter!

Hooray for Roxy.(and you)! Congratulations on that litter of 5; I at first thought "how can you expect 3 when there were 5 in there", but with two tiny ones I guess they were well hidden. I'm glad they are doing well; keep an extra close eye on those little ones for a while. Post pics when you can please!

Thank you; she is very pretty & had just had a singleton last time, so 3 will definitely be special!

I will post new belly pics later today. Those babies seem to be showing a little bit more the past day or so. Less than a week to go (give or take).

Tink is due April 29th. I'm starting to think it's a false pregnancy. It's her first litter and she isn't showing. She has lost her appetite her lately so I am trying several things.

Here's Halle with just 6 days to go (give or take) and of course we now know there are 3 babies in that belly!

The pups seem to have grown some within the last day or so or maybe changing positions. They have become alot more noticeable to me and it is more often that I can feel them.......not movements (though I'm feeling that too), but feeling their little bodies against her belly. I'm lovin' it! Halle maybe not so much. LOL She's doing great though.......she's eating pretty well (though still HER choice of menu), she loves going outside now that the weather is finally getting nice & loves to roll in our grass in the back yard. It's funny cuz sometimes she'll be trying to roll onto her back but end up rolling all the way over cuz of her belly. I have noticed her spending more of our quiet time in the house laying on her side and sometimes preferring to be on the hardwood floors. But most of the time she likes laying right next to......or on top of... ME!

Okay, they do say that pictures make a person/dog look bigger...........I am definitely going with 4 also for now. However, I reserve the right to change my guess after I stop by & see that belly in person. Who knows, I may change my mind...........................to 5!

She went totally off her food for a while which was stressful for me, but thankfully she's got her appetite back now (though still picky about WHAT she eats). Her belly is steadily growing...............I'm thinking there is more than one this time.
