| Update too: and now there are two My last post was a few weeks ago. After loosing our little Chicken I didn't have much hope. Our girl is still with us and she is now over 6 weeks old. She is fed every 3 hours still. She doesn't seem "normal" her head bobs. She falls all the time and she seems very tired much of the time. She eats great! She loves her milk and is learning to lick up mushy puppy food. I also don't know if she can see. She doesn't track and when I put her on her blanket for food/playtime she often runs into the wall. I have also put my hand near her and she doesn't come to my hand but if I touch her she curls into it. I had her to the vet and her temp was 1.5 degrees LOW. He said he doesn't know whats wrong or even if anything is wrong. I think he is nuts. This is not normal 6 week behavior. I got a king sized heating pad and raised the room temp to 76. She is staying warmer now. She has more than doubled her size and is 9.5 oz. Ive gone and done what I said I would not and become attached to this baby. She is so sweet, how could I not love her? Here is her picture. I took some video of her and am going to try to post them in the video section of yt. Her brother is still doing well. No issues with him that I can see, other than he refused to learn to eat on his own. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | What health test have you done on the parents? Is this their first litter? How did the others do if it's not? Might be me but I would worry about breeding them again.

Thyroid Cardiomyopathy health exam - looking for LP spinal abnormality etc blood panel - ( much like the before surgery ) Everything my vet recommended. the cardio was a separate blood test and separate physical. Then again the Brucellosis was a separate blood draw too. yes, she had one litter a year and a half ago. He has one other litter who are healthy. None together. The Sire is your boys brother. Yes I am very worried about that. Even not proven they will not produce another litter together.

| I have had a few tinies like her..it is a waiting game. I used to cut the tops off a child's white crew sock for a little warming vest...cut holes for the front legs. Feed and keep her warm..I would not permit anyone to hold her or other dogs to play with her...uses up too much energy. All you can do is wait and see if more symptoms develop..head nodding can be neurological..does she have an open fontelle? |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I think you where warned about that a few months ago. You have your answer now. That is why the breeder of your boy wanted to buy him back. She didn't want her line associated with sick pups. I hope and pray that little girl grows up to be healthy...it is so sad for her and sad for you that you had to lose her litter mates. Losing pups is just heartbreaking.

You are wrong and I am bothered you would even say that. You did quite a bit on the behalf of Joeddia but assured me you were not involved in this other than you have the brother to my boy. I see that is not the case. My boy was sold to bred to these exact girls. Sold to Helen to be bred to her girls that I now own. The girls have had testing. Both have had healthy pus and NO ISSUES with any of them. I searched very carefully for any sick pups from Helen and did locate two. Neither of whom came from my girls. I was also aware of the sick babies from speaking to Helen before she passed away.. Joeddia is simply angry. She has called and threatened me. She has found every add I had posted and replied to EACH ONE of them insulting my puppies calling them ugly and mediocre quality. Saying how she was going to have their AKC registration pulled...Well now, Joeddia doesn't read well because those babies do NOT belong to my Simon. LOL and I was told by 2 vets that they were the best they had seen. 1.3 lbs ( on the smallest 2 taken in ) at 16 weeks. No LP at all. Sound heart, lungs and awesome blood work. So, for warnings I would caution you to watch your boys litters. Any flaw is coming from him. My girls are healthy and have sound babies. Until this. This is all I have to say to you. Simon is and always will be my boy. If he has issues he will be fixed and remain my boy. I have done nothing wrong and frankly I wish Joeddia would get off her butt and take me to court or be quiet. I have been to my attorney and he quite agrees I have done nothing wrong. That is all I have to say to you.
