Yet, you frequently express your disapproval of the YTCA and how you disagree with their opinions on the matter, their regard to the standard and their priorities in breeding. Are you not also doing the same thing then--making a blanket statement about one group regarding specifics that may not apply to some? What is the difference?

Read exactly what I say, do not add or subtract anything from it.

How does "I don't care what the YTCA does" translate to I think all show breeders are unethical.

Don't twist my word or add to them. I say what I mean and I mean what I say and if I word something wrong, I will appologize for it and correct it.

Go and find a post where I said that show breederes ared unethical or disreputable or anything esle derogatory. Along the way look for every post where I said specifically that I do not believe all show breeders or YTCA members are unethical or disreputable.

I don't believe that they are disreputable or unethical so therefor I never would have said it. I said "I do not care what they do", Which translates to. "I do not care what they do".

I don't think it does translate to that...nor did I ever say that it did. I believe that I already stated, more than once, that I didn't believe that's what you were insinuating.

BUT, it's not different than when statements are made about the YTCA. It's no secret that they are often painted in a negative light when the subject comes up. I'm sure that when that happens, the 'individual' member are not so happy with being unfairly categorized either. These same comments regarding unethical breeders that you are getting sick of are the SAME warnings regarding disreputable breeders of standard color Yorkies as well. There are shady breeders of Partis and standard color Yorkies alike and I see BOTH discussed in the same manner and the same types of warnings issued. I would advise anyone looking to get a "parti/chocolate/golden" of the same thing--watch out for unethical breeders trying to scam you and make sure you do your homework and consider all views on the situation FIRST. I would make the same recommendation to someone looking for a standard colored Yorkie as well. That is all I see happening here...is that a bad thing? There are lots of shady breeders of standard Yorkies as well that people are warned about, but I don't see standard breeders feeling singled out or getting upset over it in the same fashion.

To be honest, this subject has been run into the ground over and over again and it always yields the same result--the threads eventually get locked and no resolution is reached. I believe that is because truthfully, neither "side" is looking for a resolution. Both sides here are very passionate about what they believe and I don't think that either side is going to change the other's mind.
Obviously, the Parti breeders that post regularly here feel that they are doing extensive research, trying to produce healthy dogs, and taking the right steps and doing what they can to achieve their goals in the most ethical way possible. Then on the flip side, there are those who stand firmly behind sticking to the standard and not deviating from it at all. What does it matter!? We are all allowed opinions, are we not?
If YTCA members and/or those who value the standard as it is want to voice their opposition to deviating from that...SO WHAT? They are entitled to voice their opinions and why they feel that way. The same is true for those who breed Partis. Why is it so difficult to just state your opinion and assume that anyone reading is intelligent enough to consider both sides and form their own opinion. (I mean, they were smart enough to navigate the internet, weren't they?)

I very much agree with both of you , as producing a parti yorkie does not mean you are producting a better dog, nor does producing a standard over a standard. I think you need to look at the individuality of the dog. though i do not feel that the color of the pup make the dog better or worse,it should be on the quality of a pup regardless of color. I love BOTH standard and partis, acctually to be honest i like parti carriers coloring the best - you get the best of both worlds

Thank you for being so thoughtful, I am getting a kick out of all these people bickering over the color. It is funny. Never knew this was such a controversal subject. learning many things along the way! i am not sure how to post pics on here? I will post a picture of my standard female now if i knew how. Looking for a buddy for her, and only females as i dont want them to be breeding all the time.
