thank you, I have the distilled water and karo but the only goats milk i have is the powder one,because I use it for the weaning of the puppies.

QUESTION:

Can we use formula instead of goats milk? I have goats milk but today is the expiration date. It's never been opened and always in the fridge....should I use it?

Ok, I'm new....but I think it may happen tonight. She has been on a blanket by me on the couch all evening....breathing fast but not panting...she shifted a few times like she wasn't comfy...could be nothing...but maybe.

She's in her whelping box now. i put it and made a bed by it in the computer room....

EDIT: She just was digging a bit in her box.....then she lay down.

Sending good vibes for a fast and safe whelping, I would not use that expired milk, can you send hubby to get you some more? I had never used the store formula, my mentor does not like it, she said that in some cases is causes diarreah.

Well, she didn't have them :(

This store formula you mentioned....are you talking about human baby formula....or puppy. I bought some "just born" or something like that. No good?

I'm fairly certain she is getting ready to have them. She insists on being in her whelping box...normally she follows me everywhere. She was digging and biting her blanket in there. She is not impressed with me rubbing her tummy. She did eat when she heard me open the can but went straight back in her box. I looked at her vulva...there is a little smackle of goop there but don't know what it is cause she fidgets if I try and wipe it. With my luck this isn't it....but she is acting very odd.

Can someone tell me if this seems right for her belly.....it is rock hard and the babies are moving but nothing like yesterday. I can feel them fidget....but not tumbling or anything like that. You can pretty much see where the pups have themselves in there.

Formula, does not give you the desired nutritional value. Goat's milk is the closets to mother's milk 97%

Sounds like you're in the first stages of labor....puppies are moving down and into the birth canal.

Prepare yourself for a fun ride.

Thank you everyone.

So far....she still refuses to come out of the box. She periodically gets up...shifts the blankets then lays down again. I took her out for a pee but other than that she has been in there for 6 hours straight. Should I take her for a walk?

You can if she's up to it....as long it's not too cold outside.....

Just watch her.. Tara went from doing that to pushing.. no in between.

I wouldn't take her to far from the house. you don't want her to get down the road and start pushing.
