| Questions!!!!! Hi all: As most of you know we lost Lady last week due to congential heart disease, we miss her dearly but mommy, Rebel and the rest of the family are getting by because we know she is up in heaven playing. I know have some questions about Rebel, I did read up on raising a singleton pup which I guess is how I have to look at it know, if you have any advice to give me on this please do. Question- starting the week of September 7th I will no longer have a sitter for Rebel as my daughter will be going back to work 3 days a week and my step daughter back to school. I asked the vet and he said it would be fine but wanted to check with you guys. Rebel will be 9 weeks old that week and I was thinking about letting him roam in the kitchen, I will be up baby/pet gates so he can not get out, is this ok? I did already check our kitchen and there is nothing he can get into. Should I leave momma in there with him or let her out. My worry about leaving her in is that she will eat his food, he is still on wet food and dry food combined. I am trying to wean him more towards the dry. I am going to try to go home during lunch the three days my daughter can not be there but depending on what's going on at work not always sure that I can make it. Currently he is home alone from 9:00 am until about noon when my one daughter leaves for work and the other daughter gets to my house. Please any and all advice. Thank you,

| I think he will be fine. It is a hard choice on mom. I think I would just leave her in with him, and leave out dry puppy kibble. If mom eats it you may have to give her more exercise but I would rather have the option for the puppy to have something around to eat in case he gets hungry. I also would have something high that she can jump onto to get a break from the pup if she wishes.

| Do you have an x-pen that you can leave him in during the day? Momma could come sit by him for company if you dont want her in with him. We left Bella Mia in the kitchen while she was a puppy...low and behold she learned how to dig at and open the bottom cupboard doors. We had to put babylocks on all the bottom cupboards.

The only reason I don't want her in is because he is not only dry kibble yet and she ONLY eats soft food (from previous owners), so if I want to set his food out (kibble mixed with soft) she would eat it and if I could not get home that day for lunch then he would miss his lunch and I worry about hypoglycemia.

How long until I no longer have to grind it up? He currently has ten teeth and is getting his molars. My worry is that Miracle's previous owners (that's mom) said that her last puppy who was singleton choked on some kibble and he was 12 weeks old.

Bella Mia did great by herself in the kitchen with baby gates once we put the babylocks on the cupboards.

| I am not a breeder but we got our little Laddy when he was only 8 weeks old and we fed him Royal Canine for puppies. The kibble is small and he had no problems at all eating it. I did give him a little nutri-cal once a day just to be safe. He is now 10 months old a 3.5 lbs. Your little one should be fine and it wont hurt mama either.
