| Poshyorkies.com? Hello everyone. I had a quick question: does anyone have any experience with this breeder at poshyorkies.com? Thank you and have a wonderful day.

| No first hand experience, but looking at the site, there are several red flags--purposely breeding dogs to be extremely tiny, breeding multiple breeds and mutts, multiple litters in a short amount of time, breeding non-standard Yorkies. Far too many red flags, IMO. I would keep looking. |

| Thanks for your reply and your advice. Do you know of anyone who breeds beautiful Yorkies? I want one that will be under 4 pounds with the baby doll face and short nose. Please let me know if you have any recommendations.

As far as weight and size, I'm sure you can find those breeders that breed dinky do yorkies. There is a featured breeder that breeds and sells tinies, but she does charge astronomical prices......

| I have to agree with Mardelin on this one. What you have described is not what any reputable breeder would try to achieve with their breedings. I would not recommend any breeder purposely breeding to produce those characteristics. |

| I would look on Ytca and like the two said above me no reputuble breeder will breed for these features also keep in mind that a yorkie that small is going to be a sickly dog. |

| Thanks for the information everyone. I did look on ytca.org and I also found the Northern CA club as well. I also contacted Mardelin as well. As soon as I take my exam and find a phone card around here, I'm planning on calling. I wasn't aware that the "baby doll" look wasn't in the standard. It seems like Yorkies are looking a lot different from what they looked like, even just 20 years ago. I guess I liked the compact, stocky body type the best. And 4 pounds or under isn't necessarily sickly. My puppy is 4 pounds and she's healthy. Yes, she I do have to watch her if she gets sick, because she can get dehydrated easily. And since she's thin, she doesn't have a lot of fat to work with. But she's at a healthy weight and eating well, so I guess that's just her body type. Ever since I switched her from Royal Canin to Innova, she eats a lot better and did increase in weight. But overall, she's healthy. For me, size is a bit more important because I do travel, not a whole lot, but a few times a year and take my baby with me and I would do this of course with the new puppy. Thank you again everyone for your help.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Pixie has the "baby doll face and I love it. She is under 4 lbs and the healthiest of my 3. If you do your research you will find a good breeder. I got Pixie at 13 months so I knew exactly what I was getting.

| Hi. Thanks for your comments. If you don't mind my asking, who is the breeder of your puppy? Did you get your Pixie after you already had the other 2 puppies? I was thinking of getting a slightly older baby so I know what to expect, but I was wondering how putting an older baby with my current baby would work out.

| Beware of Poshyorkies !!!! I am positive that that site for Poshyorkies is by Nita Spears or what ever her name is that was doing business as Irrestible Tiny Treasures - go on here and search old threads about her or google her name up or even go to "ripoff, com" and read about her cheating lots and lots of people. BEWARE IF IT IS THE SAME PERSON AND I AM SURE IT IS |

| Take a look at her guarantee again.....Leaves a bit to be desired. She doesn't state the length of time she will guarantee her pups for.

| We're talking about Storybook, correct? I just checked it and there is no time line. So I guess not highly recommended?

| In my opinion, there should be some sort of a time line. I don't know the breeder, so I couldn't give my opinion one way or another.
