| My eldest Yorkie a Parti carrier? Penny, whom is my first Yorkie, is going to be 4 years old this year. I, at the time, didn't research the breeder and rushed into buying the first Yorkie I saw. I knew better once after I got her. What I can remember, her dad had a lot of white in him and my first thought was Biewer color? At the time, I didn't know much about parti or biewers. He kept a 2 pound girl from the litter before Penny and I remember her having a lot of white in her too. I asked him if they were the Biewer color and I don't think he knew what I was talking about. Well, I have lost his number and would love to go and visit to see if they are indeed parti colored. For some reason, I'm thinking I was imagining it? I'm pretty sure I wasn't. So, I have his address on her AKC form, now is there a way I look up his number? Does AKC have the record and I can look into the database? I don't want to just show up at his doorstep. What if they moved? Any advice and suggestions are welcomed! Thanks in advance!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | If there were biewers in her background...she would not have been AKC registerable. Lots of yorkie puppies have white on them...including their chests, paws, and chins. It's not indicative that they are parti carriers. Does you dog have ticking on her tummy? Or inside her mouth? That is that true indicator of the piebald gene. Check her toes too....biewers toes and nails are usually pink with clear nails...and occasionally a freckled toe with a black nail.

| Yeah, it was lol. Thank you so much! I tried googling lol, but that didn't help. I reached an answering machine... I hope it's him. I would love to see the parents again. My girl definitely has her mother's personality.... very sweet and docile. I remember her mom, when she first saw me, went up to me, rolled on her back and wanted a belly rub. My girl, to this day, loves to roll on her back for you to give her belly rubs. I will never forget the day I first went to see her and her brother. She was the one who picked me. I really want to see who did she grow up to look like, her mother or father. My memory is so vague, can't remember exactly how they both look.

BTW, just curious but would a cross between a Maltese and Yorkie have this ticking show up on the tummy? | |

Another place for ticking...inside their mouths. Yorkies usually have a mottled color mouth inside....with the piebald gene...it's pink with black spots.
