Animal Smiley 019 My Experience with Starmye Halpin was the complete opposite

Wow, am I glad I did not see this before getting our little boy last week as I probably would have been leary and not wanted to take a chance on getting a puppy from her.
However, my experience was nothing short of wonderful. Starmye returned my phone calls and e-mails promptly. Little Finnley (Morkie) came healthy and happy (via airplane) and was exactly the little guy I had seen posted on the internet. He had been to the vet the day before and checked out fine along with having a microchip placed. He smelled good upon arriving. He is amazing.
He hasn't been to the vet yet (this Saturday) but I am assuming that all is well with him. He is very intelligent and loves people. He is already hitting the piddle pad 80% of the time and he has only been with us 4 full days. I already cannot imagine life without him.
I would say to give Starmye a second chance. Maybe she has improved on all the negatives.

Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am glad your puppy appears happy and healthy. How old is your baby? I do hope his vet checkup turns out well. Often puppy mill dogs have lots of parasites and other problems that do not show up immediately. If he starts showing any signs of illness before Saturday be sure to get him to the vet immediately. What are you feeding him? Good luck with your baby.

He will be 11 weeks old on Friday. We are feeding him Eukanuba Puppy food. His records show 2 treatments of deworming I believe but I will be sure to bring a stool sample.
I normally research everything to death before I purchase something on the internet so this is just another sign to me that this little guy was meant to be in our lives as I said before I would have been hesitant getting him after reading all the negatives.
My husband and I were looking at a particular Morkie in Minnesota (where we live), however after praying for a sign that we should get a puppy and didn't get one we wrote all the pros and cons down on paper. We decided that we would wait until at least spring to reconsider. I put the puppy idea out of my head. Then a co-worker sends me a Min Pin puppy from the website PuppyFinders. Although I wasn't interested in a Min Pin, out of curiosity, I typed in Morkie and I kid you not this little guy literally popped out at me and his name was Blake. Starmye referred to him as Mr. Blake Man. That was the name of our son who passed away 8 1/2 years ago and we also referred to him as Mr. Blake Man. Can you say SIGN!!! I had already decided that when I called her and he had been sold, we would have remained puppyless. There was no other puppy out there for us at this time. Had I read those reviews I would have second guessed myself into eternity and like I said probably wouldn't have gotten him. Another SIGN that I didn't google Starmye and I am so glad I didn't because he is absolutely perfect.

In reply to Jeanie K. What is so odd about responding to a 4 month old post??? The only reason I even found this YorkieTalk website is that I now googled Ultimate Puppies and it brought me to this forum.

We would love to see pictures of your new little guy. I am glad you found your special baby, even though his breeder might not be so reputable and also that you found Yorkie Talk. There are many Morkie owners on here. I pray your baby will be blessed with good health and that you will have many wonderful years with him.

She stated what she did because the manner in which you have posted happens quite often--a new member joins and their first (and usually only posts) are in a very old thread about a specific breeder where they either give high praise or harsh criticism regarding the breeder. Generally, these people post their few comments and then are never seen and heard from again. It's not typically how members who 'stick around' start off. It generally always sparks suspicion...and usually for a good reason. It happens so frequently that it's like a running joke amongst members here....

That's not to say that is what you are doing, but it happens so much that it's like 'the boy that cried wolf'...

All I can say then is 'why would I have been on this site prior to owning a Morkie'? Why would I have been interested. You gotta start some time.
I can imagine that mostly I will be reading from here on and learning what I need to about Morkies/Yorkies unless I have a question. Maybe that is what others do, who knows.

I was a member for probably about 2 years before I even made my first post. I always want to get a feel for who are members in a forum.

I think you are missing the point....not that it matters. You asked what you did to earn being accused of being a troll, I tried to explain it to you. Nothing more, nothing less and nothing anyone is going to lose any sleep over. People join all the time and immediately post in old threads about specific breeders--which is what you have done--and it turns out they did nothing but join to cause trouble.
Time will reveal your intent--which could be exactly as you claim, or it will reveal the opposite.

Well Jewel...I can only say I am glad you prayed for a puppy and got it out of that rat infested, god awful puppy mill that your poor puppy was born into. This type of greeder makes me sick to my stomach...making $$$ off the backs of dogs..Maybe they should go out and work for a living themselves.

Omg If you can treat Man's Best Friend this way... What does it say about you!!!

Yorkiemama1986... I thought I was upset last night after reading a thread on Yorkietalk about a puppy mill being shut down. Now I'm just angry.

Here's what I put on the other thread last night... Disgusting.. To say the least.
This is horrible, I've never seen anything like this before. OMG people (or do we call them people ) doing this to our helpless animals. Something really needs to be done to change the abusive treatment and neglect. I'm blown away, just watching that video.

Someone really needs to step up and take some legal action or write new laws to correct this terrible injustice

We need to find the right person and file legal against someone. Give me some names, I'll make some calls.
These people need to be stopped ...........NOW

I'm not a very happy person right now, this just made me sick.

Their are Quality Breeders that care but people using dogs to make the Almighty $$$$$ at the cost of these poor dogs health and living conditions. They should have to live like this for awhile and be bought and sold only for breeding... couldn't you just see it now.
My wish would be: To Foster All the Pets and Never Make Them Suffer.

God Make this Wish Possible
God spelled backward is Dog .... Maybe that's why dogs are called Man's best friend.
