| I have not read all the posts on this subject but I am going to jump right in. When you have dogs that you breed for years you love and take care of them, However if you are a breeder you can end up with a LOT of dogs if you don't give some of them away. After seeing my breeder and ALL the cute little doggies in her house I really think it would be very nice for these little dogs to go to a good home with maybe another dog or two and live the rest of their lives being totally loved. I am not saying that breeders don't love their dogs so don't go there with me. I am just saying that if you have 20 or so dogs, whatever the amount if you are a serious breeder, wouldn't it be wonderful for a little retired girl to have more of a one on one family where she can live out the rest of her life being 'the' dog? My breeder is a lovely lady but she has way too many dogs. Her place is very clean, the dogs are all groomed (20+), I love her, she works like the dikkens and her dogs are all sweet and loving. But, even though they are in different rooms with their own little 'packs' how can they get the attention they need? I know she has given some retired away but still.......... That is the statement I am trying to get across. Of course this doesn't apply to you that have 10 or so, I can see how all of them can certainly be individually loved. |
