Do you use the hemostat clamps on the tails? I leave those on a few minutes afterwards and rarely get any blood, as they are sealed by the clamps. I was really amazed by the Clotisol when I first used it on the dewclaws. I had previously struggled with the powder type bloodstop product with poor results. I was so happy when I coated the dewclaw area with the Clotisol in a very thin layer and it sealed right away even with a little blood present it seals it. | |

| I would really suggest that you should try the hemostats, that is what the Vet uses that taught me. I can't imagine working without them. |
