Yes, her post was very well written. So well, it could have come from any of the clubs members and their beliefs. But a club is, what it is, it holds people accountable for their breed. Hopefully, we can all part in peace. They need to do what they believe in doing and not comment on what the BTCA is doing. Each time the BTCA opened a door for their breed they had to fight off the criticism from the others. Are you aware of the turmoil that is going on in the YTCA because of these parti-yorkies and anything dealing with Yorkshire in the name of a Biewer? They have their own forum, and the battle on this forum is nothing compared to what goes on in theirs.

I'm sorry that you feel I distorted facts and bashed the BTCA. That was not my intent. I was simply stating my opinion and giving examples of what I have seen. I am more than happy to discuss the points that you feel I distorted.

Again, I don't see where any facts were distorted. I did not post anything to get "thumbs up" from my "buddies". Actually, I would be willing to bet that most people do not agree with at least one, if not more, of the opinions that I have posted. That is their right just as it is mine to have and express my views. I'm not quite sure why people can't agree or disagree with me simply based on their standpoint compared to my own?

Sorry, not quite sure what you are trying to say here? I'm not sure how the other clubs operate, but I can assure you that this is my opinion and mine alone. I do not consult others before expressing my opinion and most certainly don't need assistance in doing so. Thank you for the compliment though, it is appreciated.

I meant Shorkies and yes I still think it's crazy for a Shorkie to be over 2 grand. I have nothing against Shorkies, I own only one dog....a Shorkie. :)

Not sure, but thats how I took it. I have seen Biewers priced way higher than that, so I would think that if she were talking about them, she would have said a much higher number.
I think that Biewers and Parties are beautiful, whether they are the same or different. Then again, I believe that parties should be allowed to be shown as well :)

You are exactly correct. I did say Shorkies for over 2 grand and yet I own one. Even though I do, 2 grand is ridiculous. No I didn't and would not have paid 2 grand for Jemma, although she is millions to me. I love Biewers but they are out, way out of my pocket range.

At the risk of sounding redundant, I totally agree with you Nancy. :thumbup:

Jens' post deserves a thumbs up or 100 thumbs up for stating things in a clear, concise, respectful, and honest way. She did not bash anyone, and all her points were right on, IMHO

Thank you for the clarification. I misunderstood and I agree I would not pay $2,000 for a shorkie.

But, I don't understand why someone would pay for a mixed breed
dog when the shelters are full of them.
Why do people support someone who purposely mix breeds dogs ?

I understand where your coming from, and I agree with you, but I think it's important to educate those thinking of buying a mixed breed, or those breeders who are mixing breeds, I don't think it's right to criticize people for what they have already chosen to do. It's a personal decision, and it's already been made. Most people who buy mixed breeds think they are making a good decision at the time, and many are very happy with their pets.

Is this what we call Hybrid? I dont know much about mixing breeds, except I am seeing TONS of them these days. Morkies, Shorkies, Labrodoodle, YorkiePoo, man, the list goes on and on. (they are all cuties)

To each his own, they are gorgeous dogs and if you can afford to have one (parti's) by all means!

I wonder how many of you, and I know there are alot, go on Craigs List? I cannot begin to tell you how much it breaks my heart to see these dogs, mostly mixed breeds, being advertised by shelters and rescue people, begging people to spare their lifes. Most of them go into the GAS CHAMBER, to end their life. I'm not talking about Pit Bulls here. I am saddened to see most of them are under these new breed names that are suddenly swirled together to make them sound so cutsie. Has anybody seen the horrors of the dogs that are gased and dumped in the land fills waiting to be covered up. When are we, going to wake up? My mail box is full of rescue groups begging for money to send to them. I'm at the point I don't no where to donate my money to anymore to help save them through the greeders who have created this mess! And you think their cute? Can I send you some really cute pictures?

A Shorkie I guess is a Shih Tzu Yorkie mix, this was mentioned in post 172.

The link you give is horrific, and this is what I'm afraid will happen, if unscrupulous breeders get hold on one of these dogs. I'm very concerned how the clubs go about choosing people to sell to or what they require in terms of neutering and spaying, and who they are allowing to become breeders.

Nancy I am so glad you picked up on that because we just discovered this. If you scroll down on that website, one of our past or I should say barred member, is listed on this website as a reference. And I am shocked to see she is on this forum pushing her Biewers. This is the horror of the whole thing. This person will be delt with! As I stated, a breed club is responsible for their breed, and if need be, those who are in it for greed will be exposed as such.
