| Any Newbies Wanting to BREED??? I thought this was worth while sharing. I always see threads of people wanting to Breed, whether it be their first time and want to start a business or even just a 'one time breed'. I truly hope that you all do the required lengthy research and be prepared for anything to arise before you even consider breeding.... ...very sad...now this boy is in rescue Rescue Me Yorkie Rescue Gunther Male , 1 years , 6 lbs Gunther is a precious little Yorkie boy whose owner thought he was so cute, they decided to breed him with their female Yorkie. When hair got wrapped around his penis, it acted like a tourniquet cutting off the circulation and causing his penis to die. To prevent a systemic infection (and ultimately death), Gunther underwent surgery on January 9th to have his penis amputated. A new opening was created where his scrotum used to be and he is able to urinate from there. He is recovering nicely and, once healed, Gunther will be a normal little boy with a long life ahead of him. He is a darling and playful little guy who is jumping up on the couch and bed just days after his surgery. Resilient and loyal, Gunther will make a wonderful pet! Gunther's adoption fee is $650. | Bless your sweet heart Gunther. I wish I was ready for another but it's not the right timing. I know he'll get the perfect home threw this rescue. What a terrible thing to happen. Thank God for rescues and their worker's who bring love and safety to those who need it. |

| YES - I do believe he WILL get the perfect loving home - Thank God for that... But it still doesn't excuse what his 'original' family did to him Breeding is not something to be considered for the novice |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | OMG, that POOR BABY!!!!!!!!! Breeding is so complicated - and I wish more people would realize that before it's too late and they learn the hard way.

| Bless his little heart. I can't imagine how painful that must have been. I hope he finds the wonderful home that he deserves and shame on those callus people for using him and than disguarding him once they had messed him up. Breeding involves so much more than putting two dogs together and getting cute little puppies, thanks for posting this.

| What a sad story for that poor little fella. His former "owners" (if you can even call them that!) deserve to be locked up. And then they just dumped this poor little guy. I know that when he finds his new home, he will be spoiled and loved as he deserves to be. What a perfect example of how seriously breeding should be taken. It is really any wonder why people get so up in arms when members post up that they intend to breed for what many of us recognize and consider to be less than noble intentions--because they are so cute, because they want to keep one of his/her puppies, because Fluffykins is just so cute that EVERYONE wants one of his puppies. Thank you for sharing that story. I hope some will take it to heart and seriously consider the consequences of jumping into something blind without putting in the time to research and learn ALL aspects first. |

| Poor Sweet little guy..... Please, please, PLEASE do your research before beginning ANY breeding program. You are responsible for these little ones and any lives you might bring into this world. If you cannot claim responsibility PLEASE ... do not breed. |
