She went into prelabor about 24 hours before but didn't start pushing until about 5:30 and had him at 5:45. Around 6:30 she had a little girl that didn't make it.

I am so sorry to hear that the little girl didn't make it. That's the hardest part for me with the small breeds having their pups....a greater chance of losing one or more. How much did she weigh? My Lily had two litters and lost one from each one. They both were extremely tiny. One was 2 oz and the other 1 7/8oz. The 2 oz baby boy survived 10 days, but then passed away....the vet said his body was not absorbing any nutrients because his digestive system was too immature. That was the hardest thing for me....after bottle feeding him for 10 days.

After the 2nd litter I had her spayed...her pups were just too tiny. I didn't want to go through that again! Her sister Rosie is expecting her 1st litter and I hope that her pups are larger!

I am so happy to hear that you have a little boy! How is the little guy and his mama doing? Is this her 1st litter?

Daisy's temp was at 99.2 about two hours ago. I am guessing we will have puppies by this time tomorrow!

Princess' temp was 98.6 this morning and we took her to the vet for her xrays. She has four puppies. She has been nesting and in her whelping box all evening not even getting out much. She has been panting this evening. She's on day 59, first litter. The vet said another week, but I am thinking maybe they tied when wasnt looking? I guess I will know more in a few hours. Watching the entire first season of Jericho. That should keep us busy...LOL

Is the temp thing a real good indicator? All week it has been up and down, but not in the 98 degree range. Hmmm

Oh my...Another little Mom on puppy stand by!

Have you been checking her temperature twice a day? If so, what was her evening temperature. She certainly sounds like she is in stage one labor.

I took it a half an hour ago and it was 98.3. She keeps scratching and panting. Doc said prolly next week, but I think things are moving forward.

Kim, it looks like you are gonna have a whole herd of pups in a few weeks! Look at that belly I want to give Blossom some major belly kisses. I know you are very excited and I can hardly wait!

Blossom's belly sure is growing...what a cute belly she has

Just see for yourself. We're heading in first thing in the AM for an xray to see just how many little ones are in there. I can't wait...
