Tsa La Li---Breeder---any opinions?

I personally think this entire thread/situation is insane. Not because of the discussion relating to the breeder in question, but because of the bickering and the comments between members that has been allowed...most of which doesn't even REMOTELY relate to the original subject of the thread at all. It's just pages and pages of arguing.
It's as if YT has become a free for all. I've seen members suspended and banned and posts deleted before for a heck of alot less than what's been said here ...a fair share of them mine to boot. I'm apparently really missing the logic altogether of WHY it is being allowed to continue at all, but it's certainly not making this a "fun" place to be.

I think the whole world has been "informed" now so it is time to let it rest! It really makes me angry because I have not been active here for a few months because of things like this. I come back and this is the first thing I see. COME on PEOPLE! MOVE ON! Please let us enjoy this board and the Christmas spirit and season.

This all started up again to try to educated the poster that asked about a certain breeder. I guess people put out what ever they knew about her, and for anyone else who was thinking of considering a puppy from her as well. I do not feel this thread is in comparison with the first one, much lighter toned. I also feel since this is in the breeder review, this is the appropriate place to talk about it. I am sorry if this has offended you, but I am glad the truth came out, for what this breeder has done, is inexcusable and it is about time the truth came out. Her involvement and her own choices she has made off the path is a terrible, and very sad thing. It's a shame, but she did it to her self... no one to blame here, except herself.

Oh it didn't offend me, just made me shake my head in disbelief is all. And again, the discussion regarding the breeder is not what I was referring to, it was the pages and pages of bickering that had nothing to do with it that I was commenting on....which I have now contributed to as well. Just making an observation is all.

Clearly, there are many not bothered by it and flock like moths to a flame proclaiming that they are just glad the "truth" has come out...it gives them something to talk about.

But no worries--I have plenty to do with the holidays and all to occupy my time without having to worry about sorting through a drama filled YT.

I really am not judging as I don't have the right to. I just want to talk from my own experience.

first off, Im not a show person/breeder of any kind. I bought Dolly from her as a pet. she showed me a couple pictures of Dolly as well as one other yorkie girl. Glenda told me that Dolly is a tiny girl (little over two pounds at 8 months). actually at the time I already have a tiny yorkie girl and really wanted to get a standard sized yorkie, but I was literally addicted to Dolly's cute features. so I asked her if she's got any other girl with Dolly's feature but a lil bigger than Dolly. She did not like my request and told me that I should be focused.

To be honest, she was not an easy going person IMO, but hey, it was about the dog, not her. just my personal opinion, as long as the dog is healthy and cute enough for me, and Glenda could provide a smooth transaction, thats all I need. I needed a companion Dog/sister for my other yorkie, not a breeder friend.

So I ended up getting Dolly simply because I was in love with her. I did pay a lot for her, most people thought I was over paying. but thats really my choice, I could have gotten a local healthy yorkie thats a lot cheaper. but to be honest, Dolly is one of the few yorkies that I have seen that have the sweet little baby doll face. and more importantly, she has my heart. Dolly's playful, got good personality, house trained, which for me interpeted as she was well taken care of by her breeder. and of course to me she's worth every penny I paid.

I didn't get too much info about Dolly before I got her, but I did get the most important of what I needed. ex. pictures of her sire and dam, sizes and origins of them, siblings. and she was being honest about the fact that Dolly's sire was old and passed away few months ago.

I couldn't be happier with Dolly, and probably will go back to her if I need another one in the future.

Ok so I did my own search on Glenda Beavers so I could get my own opinion on this woman. I *think* that I read (and please correct me if Im wrong) that her boyfriend sells the frenchies right? So when I typed in her name a bunch of different links came up.. one stating this .Big Time Pets -- Double XX Ranch
She was purchased from Daniel LaPorte and Glenda Beavers from Tsa-La-Gi Yorkies of Tahlequah, OK. We did contact Glenda by phone and she said she would give ...

So I clicked on it and it brought me to this site Big Time Pets -- Double XX Ranch

is this the same person that we have been talking about all this time? It doesnt state anything about yorkie's but look along the side page and see the other animals they sell.


So if it is the same people they sell yorkies, chi's, frenchie's, persian cats,pigeons, reptiles, and cattle?

I agree with BamaFan. I simply tried to answer the original OP's question - I felt like people were trying to make me feel guilty and bad about buying a beautiful, happy, healthy puppy from this breeder when just 4 months before I had researched this very breeder on this forum and found nothing but rave reviews of her. I was just telling the truth about the puppy and my personal dealings with her, which had been positive. I was then questioned about my conscience and how I could sleep at night....I certainly don't think people should be made to feel bad when they come to this forum for help. I think we, for the most part, have all done the best we could do and should not be criticized or judged for that.

These people were sold a Frenchie from Glenda and her boyfriend/spouse/whatever. They said in that website that they were sold her, and she died at 20 months from cancer that was all over her lungs, and that they tried to contact them and didn't ever receive a call back, no concern about the pup.
I don't agree with the actions of GB, but I just wanted to straighten it out that the site you posted does not belong to GB at all. Those were people that apparently had a negative experience with her.

I agree, Dolly is one beautiful girl, and I can see why you love her so much. She looks like a real sweetie for sure!

Lolasmom1211 no one should make you feel guilty that you have your baby from Glenda. The point of this, in my opinion, was not how beautiful her dogs were, it was focused on what she did and people defending her, I think thats where the heat turned up. I am sorry you had your feelings hurt, and I am sure your yorkie baby is a doll!!!

I think everyone on here is a nice group who loves their dogs..that we can say is a 100% fact We all have different feelings and opinions and that is where it gets ugly..every one fighting for what they believe in, and no one gives up.. I am not a big poster by any means, I joined to really learn more about yorkies from people who owned them. I never posted this before, but I am going to be very honest here. a little over a year ago, I searched for a reputable breeder. When I first heard of GB I was totally amazed in how beautiful her yorkies were, I actually made a good friend on here who has a tiny little girl from her who is to die for... so I was so excited to say the least.

I gave Glenda a call and we talked about her puppies. At that time she informed me she did have a few litters, but right at that time, they were too young to go home. "But", she did have a little boy who was ready in about a week.. she sent me pictures and I was a little disappointed because he wasn't the "typical" GB's yorkies, he was larger in size with a long nose, he was cute, but not what I was looking for, she also told me he was 2800.00. I knew her puppies were pricey, and I was ok with that, but not for this little guy. About 4-5 days later, someone here on YT wrote to her asking about a puppy also..well, she was sent the same pictures of the same little boy. The only thing different was the price for him,,, for her, 4-5 days later he was now 1600.00!! We compared notes and I almost fell over, mind you I really felt deceived. I would of understood if it was a month later and she needed to find him a loving home, but this was not the case... the story goes on that some one else wrote to her as well..that same puppy was now 1400.00!!!!! I really could not believe my ears!! in one week this poor little guy was 1400.00 less than what she offered him to me for. I felt like he was in an auction. You just do not play "puppy ebay" with a life. I didn't have 'bad' feelings, maybe a little hurt, but I put it behind me and I just knew no matter how beautiful her yorkies were, I wasn't contacting her again. She was not the only breeder with beautiful yorkies. I have to admit, just from that one experience with her, I didn't feel the same respect as others had towards her..I always thought something was just not right.

When all of this came to surface, I was sad this was a part this woman played behind the scenes , a woman that everyone thought so highly of. It also mad me mad to learn that someone who loves her breed and respected the life of any dog would actually do this. It wasn't hard for me to believe Karen at all. I did voice my opinion as well, I was trying to help people understand the point that was being made.

As I have mentioned, I am happy the truth came out, going forward everyone can make their own decisions for the future.

Thank you so much for clarifying that!! I was alittle shocked to see that they (if it was them) was selling that many animal. After some more searching I did read how wonderful her dogs do in the show ring.. She does breed some beautiful dogs. Im not condoning what she did either. I guess after what I read on her its just a little hard to beleive that she would do it.

Here's the comment that I copied from the website

"She was purchased from Daniel LaPorte and Glenda Beavers from Tsa-La-Gi Yorkies of Tahlequah, OK. We did contact Glenda by phone and she said she would give Daniel the message but gave us no way to reach him personally. We have not heard from either since."

According to this, they talked to GB. Maybe GB gave the message to Daniel, and assumed he'd call. We can only guess what happend after she took the message.
