i am glad that you are picky with the people you choose for your puppies. that's really nice of you. (my breeder didn't really ask me questions, which made me mad!) i mean, i read all about what they are supposed to be asking me, and i was prepared to answer the questions, but he didn't even ask me, he even wanted me to buy 2 puppies from him! what!? (i know he was trying to get rid of a puppy who was really cute but WAY TOO HIPPER! i think that puppy was probably driving him crazy)

I can see being disappointed if you were all prepared to answer questions and then he didn't ask any. Not speaking for him..but sometimes I get a better feel from someone as a potential parent just by my gut feeling through conversing back and forth with them. Anyone can rehearse and "say what I want to hear" but I think the true love and passion shines more through the information they put forth or just the person themselves...if that makes any sense.

it makes me feel better to hear you say that. well, maybe he thought we would make good parents by talking to us (me and fiance)

when i was looking for a yorkie. some breeders i contacted were so strict. they would ask me questions that were hard for me to answer. like "why do you want a yorkie?" " have you ever owned a small breed before?" the thing is i NEVER owned a dog before, and i wanted a yorkie because i think they are VERY cute dogs! i would just tell the breeders the honest truth, but then i always was afraid that they would say that i do not qualify to own a dog!

maybe they weren't strict. maybe those are normal questions, and i was just nervous because i really wanted a doggie.

one of the breeders i talked to was so funny. she was educating me on how to select a yorkie, because she didn't have one available for me, and she told me there are a lot of ugly dogs (she was talking about yorkies) out there. and i didn't laugh out loud, but i was laughing secretly. because i think all the yorkies are so cute, and i can't believe she would say that there are 'ugly' yorkies! (but i think she is talking about show dogs, like good looking show dogs, instead of just a cute pet puppy)
